Memphis was adopted within 5 days, we had a few inquiries throughout the week. The young couple had a large home where he will have his own room. The couple was kind and loving to Memphis and he was excited to go home with them. The young man had previously owned a great dane, ensuring his knowledge to care for him. Thank you, for all your inquiries and help to find him a home i am confident he will be happy and loved.

My Jack Russell mix became dominant with my smaller female dog. It was very difficult for me to rehome her with her additional challenges of being fearful of strangers, children and incompatible with some dogs. Thanks to Rescue Me and other organizations that forwarded her profile I truly feel she is in an even better home than I could provide for her. She now has two loving adults with only adult children and no other dogs to share with. Her new mom was looking for a walking companion and she has a large fenced in yard and sleeps in the bed I'm told. They also keep in touch on FB and give me reports of her progress. Thanks, Rescue Me, for finding the perfect match for my baby!

We adopted Chester from Joanne after we lost our beloved Chocolate Lab, Ranger, after having him for 15 years. This little guy is one of the nicest dogs we've ever had and we have owned lots of dogs over the last 50 years. He has filled a big empty spot in our lives. He is 10 months old and has found his forever home right here with us. We have always taken excellent care of our dogs and spared no expense when it comes to their health and well being, and it will be exactly the same with Chester. The hardest part was leaving Joanne's home with him because we knew how hard it was for her to give him up. She had reached the point in life where she felt she could no longer give him the care she thought he needed, and had the strength and courage to transfer him to someone who could. Her dog's wellbeing was very important to her. She has an open invitation to come visit him any time. We would not have found Joanne or Chester without Rescue Me and very much appreciate your website. Larry and Mary LeFever

Thank you, Jeff, for Rescue Me. The new owners of my dog Greta are very pleased with the adoption. I had about 10 requests, so I had a choice who to pick. I could have not asked for a better couple to care for Chester. He is very happy in his new home which gives me much emotional satisfaction and pleasure. Thanks again, Joanne

Having to re-home a pet is a heartbreaking process and one that I hope no one has to go through. While you may think that it will never happen to you, sometimes it is in the best interests of the family and pet. Unfortunately I did have to go through this process and thanks to Rescue Me I was able to find the best possible home for my Oliver. After meeting with the new family and seeing how much they love and spoil their dogs (and how much my little guy loved them immediately), I knew I was doing the right thing. Although I am still sad, I know I have done what is best for Oliver. Thank you so much to Rescue Me for providing this service to rescue groups and individuals.

Our sweet boy, Diesel, now has a new home and a brand new playmate too! So glad I got in touch with Rescue Me! I had no idea how we could find another loving home after my son's accident. It was as if Diesel found heaven (with lots of room to roam)! Once he jumped out of the car and checked out his new forever home, he was all smiles. Glad I got in touch with Rescue Me. Thank you!

Thank you Jeff for this web site. I had 10 requests for my dog Chester, my 10 month old dachshund red mini. I had a choice who to pick for the adoption. Parting with my dog was difficult, but the new owner was very patient with me before I decided to part with Chester. I know Chester is very happy in his new home, which gives me much satisfaction and peace of mind. Due to my age and health, I could no longer give Chester the life he deserved. It was the right decision for both of us. Thank you so much, Rescue Me. -Joanne

Joy was adopted by a family who have a set of twin boys, who have begged for their parents to get them a dog. This family drove four hours to adopt Joy. It was hard letting Joy go, but that's what we do, it's like sending them off to college. Joy will have a stay home dad to take care of her during the day and her fellows at night to play and watch tv with. Thank you, Rescue Me!

I lost my Jack Russell Terrier last month. Jaizee had been battling Valley Fever for a year. She seemed to be recovering, but suddenly began having seizures and died. I was brokenhearted, she was my best buddy and went everywhere with me. I found her on Rescue Me. After a month, I started looking again. I wanted another female, but this little guy caught my eye. My daughter and I met him at the shelter, and he truly was such a sweetheart we took him home. Clouse is a bundle of joy and a welcome new member of the family. I will always miss Jaizee, but I am so glad to have Clouse as my new dog. Thank you, Rescue Me!

They have turned to be the most wonderful thing that's happened to us in a long time. They are lovable and all around perfect. The women I dealt with from beginning to end was fantastic, very professional and loves her animals. Thank you Rescue Me for helping me find my forever family.

ItyBit was small in size, but HUGE in personality. She was found wandering into rush hour traffic. Signs were put up with her picture, an ad was placed with a locating pet service, I went door to door in the neighborhood near where I found her and asked everyone I could in the shopping center near where she was found. No collar, no chip, no anything but about a pound and a half of pure sweet doggie devotion. I have three dogs who have been rescued and now have a permanent home with me. A fourth, even her size, was out of the question. You may know the kind of battle: head and pocket book against heart and desires. I prayed for a good, permanent home for her and a friend suggested posting on Rescue Me. Three days later we were on our way to Arizona from Nevada to meet a couple very interested in her. It was love at first sight. It's kind of strange how a home can feel empty even with it is full of dogs and people, but that's exactly how it felt returning home without her. Fortunately, her new family loves her and sends pictures of her and them together so everyone is happy now. I thank God for Rescue Me and all they do to help animals that fall on unfortunate times. Our world is a better place because of them.

I have been looking for a young Chihuahua. I came across the Rescue Me website. When I saw PeeWee's photo, I thought, well, he's not a young Chihuahua but an adult. I would constantly go back to his picture, reading about him. I sent an e-mail to Samantha saying I was interested in PeeWee. She e-mailed back and told me all about him, how he was attacked by a large dog and picked up by Animal Control. They contacted the owners and they couldn't afford his medical bills so they surrendered him. He has found his furever home with me! Samantha the foster mom would send me pictures and a video. He likes to wear sweaters- so cute. The home visit was absolutely delightful. I was going to see and hold PeeWee. Since then we have gotten to know each other and that started the first day with the help from the foster mom Samantha. PeeWee is so sweet. Doesn't bark much like Chihuahuas do, but only at another dogs. He sure is special and what a match! Thank you so much for sending me alerts. The day his picture came up was the day I sent my e-mail.

Thank you to Rescue Me for helping a wonderful dog find a wonderful family today! We picked up a gorgeous German Shepherd at a roadside gas station late at night in a snow storm and we brought him home. He seemed to have been abandoned, and he had no micro-chip. Since we have two dogs already, we weren't in a great position to take him in for good. We bought him a kennel and kept him for a couple days, playing with him tons and giving him a nice bath. Within hours of posting him for adoption on this site, I had several inquiries via email! The adopters came today to check him out, and they seem to be a great match. They feel so blessed by this rescue site. This is a terrific website for matching pets to owners!

My dad's dog, Yoshi, was his world. When he passed away last week, we began what we thought was going to be a daunting task of getting his dog adopted. It was important to us that Yoshi goes to a good family, not just anyone. A big thank you to Rescue Me for making it quick and simple. We had several takers, all of which showed genuine interest in giving Yoshi a good home. Thank you to the wonderful family who adopted her. Knowing she is being well cared for and loved makes loosing our father a bit less painful.

I placed our Yorkie-Poo on the Rescue Me website on Thursday night and immediately starting getting calls, texts and emails. Not only did the speed in which these messages came in surprise, but they came from cities within our area-- Amazing. Everyone seemed to really want a mature dog for all the right reasons, which made making this incredibly difficult decision a little easier. Ozzy now has a new home with a younger sister Yorkie Poo to play with a new 'mom' who is home often and truly seems to love her furry 'children'! And, she has told us that we can come and visit and Ozzy can come to us for visits as well. He has only been with her a couple of nights and a day, but we have gotten update texts and everything seems to be going well. Thank you to everyone who wanted to give Ozzy a new home and especially for his new family. Rescue Me is an amazing website.

This sweet little beagle pup was rescued by some great people. They called me a week ago and asked if she was still available and I said yes. They drove almost two hours to come see her, and 'Lady' went right to them. They took her home and they have been sending me pics and videos of how well she is doing. He told me his wife absolutely loves her. I'm so happy that this couple is happy with her and she seems happy with her new family. I have never used Rescue Me before, but would definitely recommend it to anyone who asks.

My husband, Tim, and I had been wanting another dog. I wasn't sure what kind, but then I started off making a list of practical issues we required in our next furbaby. Number one a small dog but not too tiny, around 20-30 pounds. No going to the groomers, I know how to bathe, clip nails and clean ears. Must get along with cats. I looked at my local pound sites, nothing. Then it occurred to me, another Beagle!! We loved our first dog together! Something told me to google Beagle Rescues, I found this site! I saw a Beagle named Luke, who was about two years old. I submitted my request. His owner got back to me, we had several emails daily answering my questions. Finally, I just sent her a list of references. We picked our 'Lukie' up! He had lived with cats before, my cats were not all hissing, this is gonna work!! He has settled right in, we love him so much! He chose my husband as 'his' person. He gets walks daily, playtime, lots of loving!! He plays with our cats! One happy pack family!! Thank you, Rescue Me!!

They had a female Pit that had been put to sleep a few months earlier (she was 10 and her health was failing). I took Diamond over to meet their cat, and she didn't react. A few days later, we surprised his wife on her birthday with a new family member! There were tears and hugs. So happy to have helped save this dog!

The decision to put our pet up for adoption was very difficult. With tears flowing, I searched for help on the internet and found Rescue Me. The process was simple! I thought 'maybe too simple' and that it might not provide any results. To my surprise, within hours of posting to the website, I received my first call. The next day, another call! After interviewing the person, I felt it was a very good match. I wasn't going to let her go to just anyone. I wanted someone whose lifestyle best fit the dog's personality. After Lady and I met Mr. Right, it only took a few minutes to know we had found a great new home. More tears flowing as I said a final goodbye. My dream of finding a 'better home' was realized. I can highly recommend Rescue Me! But I suggest you take along a box of tissue too! Thank you, Rescue Me!

We decided to wait a bit to adopt a Siberian Husky and I unsubscribed to Rescue Me. However, the next morning there was a rescue email and we looked at the first dog on the list and the rest is history. The owner, who was moving out of state and had to find a good home for her beloved dog, returned our call. A couple hours later she brought the dog here for a visit and she and our other dog, a Husky Mix, got along beautifully. We immediately fell in love with her. Previously (for 12 years) we had a Siberian Husky with blue eyes and our new baby also has blue eyes. It was two days before the owner could contact our vet and it seemed like the longest weekend ever. She comes from an excellent home and is well mannered, sweet tempered, beautiful, and we all love her very much. That is her picture above this letter. Thank you to Rescue Me and to Barbara. -Patrick and Donna Marlow

As a Comedian, for well over 10 years, there's nothing funny about an animal having to find a new family after loosing the one that they believed was going to be forever. I can't express the support that this site has provided me in regards to finding homes for these animals. Usually, I would use social media and/or rescue resources that I've acquired over the years. I've received just as many inquiries through Rescue Me as I would have the old school conventional way. Jackson came to me with a surrender deadline of only a week to find a home. A willing adopter was found the day before Jackson was supposed to be surrendered... Whew! For me, searching for homes for animals is like a comedy career, you'll probably find more failures than success within your efforts as I'm sure most people and rescues on this site would agree. This forum gives us that extra resource to increase the probability of actually finding a home and eliminate, at least, some burden. I, again, can't thank the creator of this site and the supporters enough for their help and willingness to care. -Andre Gatling

My little Lois was on death row when I adopted her. The rescue group gave me incorrect information about her age and energy level. I soon realized she was not going to be happy in a condo environment. I was contacted by a local lady. She had just lost a dog to cancer and wanted to adopt Lois. We met and spent a couple of hours visiting and easing Lois into the transition. It broke my heart to give her up, but her new life had much more to offer. She now has two other dogs to hang out with, she is never crated, has a doggy door to come and go as she wishes, a large fenced yard, lives on nine acres. Her new mom gets in a golf cart every night and runs the dogs. She is the happiest when she runs and can outrun the golf cart. She has not only gained a wonderful home, but I have gained a good friend. We talk a couple of times a week, she sends pictures and updates on food, health, and training. I plan on visiting them very soon. This dog and I have hit the jackpot. Although I miss her every day, I feel very good about my decision and would do it again. Thanks, Rescue Me!

I am happy that I found Susie Q. She is a very sweet little dog. Her little tongue sticks out, which is adorable! She is great is the car, and sleeps tight every night in my bed next to me. I got her for my little Shitz Tsu that I rescued about four months ago. They get along great and like laying in their beds together. I think Susie Q had been through a lot before she was rescued. She will never have to go through anything again. She will get groomed, fed, and all the medical attention she needs from me. I love her and will protect her forever! I did rename her Maggie. Susie Q is in her forever home and doing great. Thank you, Rescue Me!

I met my first Staffordshire Bull Terrier in 1986. He was registered with the AKC and was imported from England. He was red and white. He became an AKC Grand Champion. He loved people, but adored children the most. The breed is loyal, loving, playful (comical in many ways), and the best companion type. Staffy's are tough, solidly built, and have very few, if any, health problems. He blessed us with 15 1/2 years of love. I obtained another Staffy from the same breeder and he was a grandson of my original dog and he went on to become an AKC Champion also. I had him for almost 16 years. After he passed away, I started looking for another Staffordshire Bull Terrier. I was exploring online and came across this website. I could see that most of the dogs shown were mixed breeds with Staffordshire, Pit Bull, etc. and I became very concerned that many of these sweet temperament animals were having a difficult time being adopted because of many factors: misunderstanding of the breed's characteristics, age, and circumstances. I found a five year old male Staffy type that was mixed with a Pit Bull. I called and spoke with the owner. After asking many questions, I made arrangements to meet. It was instant love at first sight. I had my other dog (Jack Russell) along with me to see if they would be compatible. They gave each other the sniff test and started playing. It was the best decision I made and I took the new dog home. I know he will have the best years of his life in his new home. It has worked out beautifully!      Gracie came to us about three weeks after the loss of our beloved Sugar. An eight year old Red Nose, red and white Pit Bull. We were devastated by her passing. Gracie is a beautiful, chocolate and white blue nose. She has developed an amazing personality and a lot of traits of Sugar. I believe Sugar's spirit went into her. Gracie is a playful baby. We have about a half acre fenced back yard for her to romp in romp she does. She is full of energy and life, but it's time to rest she thinks she is a five pound lap dog. She loves to cuddle and give kisses. She is good with anyone that comes around. She wants them to play with her. She is truly an amazing dog, and I don't know what I'd do without her. Thank you, Rescue Me!

I found Axl on this site. He is a nervous little guy, paces around and not friendly with others at first, especially men. He is coming around though, and I love this little guy!!!! Not sure what his previous living situation was like, but I have given him a loving home where he feels safe and loved! Thank you, Rescue Me!

A huge thank you for this site and the work you do! We love our dogs dearly. When our infant son was diagnosed with severe allergic asthma (dog dander being a huge trigger), we were devastated. We tried many, many different avenues to find an approved home with no leads from any of them. It was very discouraging. While it took several leads, it was because of this site that Frida found a great, new home. Thank you Rescue Me for all you do!

I received quite a few inquiries for Dune, the Belgian Malinois pup. He will be going to his new home soon. We do qualify all potential adopters with an application, and a home check. It's a great place to start. Thank you so much for having a site like this one. It really helps to find good homes and your representative, Rebecca, even called me to make sure I had no questions. Rescue Me offers really great service, and I hope that you get lots of donations to help you continue to save lives. Thank you!

Thank you Rescue Me for helping us find Jack a wonderful fur-ever home. We feel so blessed! Jack's lived a life or Riley with my dear friend for 10 years, but because of unfortunate circumstances, my friend wasn't allowed to take Jack to her new residence. Jack recently found a loving home with a sweet couple who's been raising Russell Terriers for the past 20 years. Their dogs are the utmost importance to them, and their babies! How lucky could Jack be to have found such a loving home! The best part of Jack's new journey is that he will share his new home with another Russell Terrier named Buddy! Rescue Me, we cannot express in my words, our gratitude for your assistance in helping Jack find a home. I have no doubt he will continue to be spoiled and loved. Thank you again, we couldn't have done this without you, we're forever grateful!

Thank you so much for helping me find a great home for my wonderful dog, Rufus. I inherited Rufus, a 10 month old Great Dane, from someone who used to live with me but was not properly caring for him. When he moved, I stepped in to ensure the dog would be safe. I've cared for him since he came to my home in April, but did not think I was going to have to do that on my own. As he continued to grow, walking him and even being safe around the house quickly became unattainable goals. I was completely distraught at the prospect of losing someone who loved me so unconditionally. When I found his new mom and dad, I knew everything would change for the better. Today, Rufus went to his forever home. He recognized the people immediately and jumped into the dad's lap, kissing him all over the face. I was jealous and happy and relieved all at the same time! My life is now safer, Rufus future is bright with a loving family of three plus another Great Dane playmate and a fenced yard. The family was ecstatic they'd found the perfect dog. I can't thank you enough, Rescue Me!!

My wife found this website through a Facebook feed and decided to take a look. We recently lost a female Chihuahua because of age and wanted to give the chance to another female by doing a rescue. She came across CC's post and immediately made a connection. She forwarded the post to my email, and when I read it, I knew we needed to help her. Although she may have some health issues, this did not discourage us to help her. We have scheduled a visit to the vet this coming Monday to learn more from her frequent water intake and urination (although we have an idea as we already had another dog with these symptoms). Regardless of the prognosis, we will make sure CC gets the quality of life she deserves, the love she need and all the accommodations needed. So far she had transitioned very well into my current fur family and I know she understands the love and affection she will receive. Thank you Rescue Me for giving us the opportunity to rescue a dog in need.

Rescue Me has been an invaluable resource in helping me to find a home for Wilson. I talked to several potential adopters over the phone and met two families in person. Willie went to a couple who lives about ten minutes from me in a lovely home in a beautiful neighborhood. They were devoted to their two JRT's who they raised for sixteen and seventeen years respectively. They were very familiar with the breed and could offer Willie the active lifestyle he really needs and deserves. I'm really happy for Willie and know he is going to have a wonderful forever home with two loving parents. Thank you, Rescue Me!

A couple months ago I took in a poor little senior male Chihuahua named Grady. He wasn't in the best of health. My husband and I rescued him from a hoarding situation. After a few vet trips and two surgeries, we were able to nurse him back to 100%. He is one of the most grateful, loving, affectionate dogs I have ever had the pleasure of loving. However, my baby of the pack (four Chihuahuas not including Grady), Ringo (also the ONLY male) decided that he did not appreciate another male being brought into his home and started constantly mistreating this precious little dog. Nothing vicious just always growling and pushing him, wouldn't let him eat, we couldn't show Grady much attention if Ringo was around or it made things worse. We had to stay on Ringo all the time. In spite, he decided he would start peeing on the little guy (Grady weighs four pounds and Ringo weighs nine pounds). So my husband and I discussed several options of what we could do to stop Ringo's bad behavior and tried them all. Nothing seemed to work and poor little Grady was not being given the quality of life he so deserved. So with a very heavy heart we decided to rehome him. I have never had to do this before because I am usually the forever home. With all my heart, I did not want to let this little guy go. But I know he deserves to be in a home where he can get as much love and attention as he wants, After what he had been through he deserves to be the star of the show. So I placed him on the same site that I found my precious Fancy (Rescue Me) and I sifted through inquiries until I found just the right home for him. It was a widow that just lost her husband in March. She was sad and lonely and wanted a companion. I met with her so she could meet our little guy, and I saw the joy in her eyes. I knew that he had found an even better forever home then I could give him. As she got into her car and drove off with him, tears poured down my face and I began to think about the precious lady that had to do the same thing for my sweet baby Fancy due to having a stroke. I only had Grady for a couple months and it broke my heart to let him go. I cannot imagine how hard it was for her to give up my precious Fancy after raising her from a baby. I want you to know how grateful I am that I found Resue Me and that it worked out for me to get that little girl. She has brought me so much joy. She is so attached to me and I love her so much. I am so thankful for that lady being selfless enough to allow me to have such a precious gift. I know she had to feel exactly as I did when she had to let her go and I hate that terribly for her. But please know that as long as I live she will always be greatly loved and cared for. Since I was 9yrs old when I got my first Chihuahua I have had an undying love for the breed. I don't expect everyone to understand how much I love my dogs and I know it sounds silly to some people, but I just wanted you to know how much I appreciate Rescue Me and that wonderful lady's sacrifice. And even though I never had the pleasure of meeting her because her daughter made the exchange for her due to her health, that I think of her often. I am still in contact with the lady that I adopted Fancy from as well as the lady that gave my precious Lil' Grady a home and he is loving life and getting all the love, hugs, and kisses he so richly deserves. This site has been a blessing to so many animals and people alike. Thank you!

He looked cute, and I called to contact them. They told me that they were sorry, but they had to take him to the Animal Shelter. I went there, and was able to adopt him.      Caesar found the most amazing forever family through Rescue Me! He knew immediately when the family arrived to visit, that he had hit the doggie jackpot with a loving family of four teens to play with. Caesar greeted them with slobbery kisses, jumped for joy over his new teenage boy, played fetch and showed off best he could. After some play time and bonding time, he eagerly jumped into the back of their SUV to make the journey into the hearts of another family that could give him the attention and care he deserved. Thank you, Rescue Me, for helping us place Caesar in the best family ever! They have been sending updates and photos of Caesar's privileged new life. It made the transition so much easier for us.

Thank goodness for Rescue Me! I posted our Corgi on a Saturday before noon, and I received an email the same day from a lady that was very interested in him. She was a little hesitant about taking a dog house that was not broke, but after some research and discussions back and forth, decided to take him. After a few weeks, I checked with her to see how it was going. She reports one use of a belly band stopped him from marking in the house and they absolutely love him. It made me feel good about my decision to re-home him. I can rest easy knowing he's loved and in his forever home.

I was recently faced with having to surrender my 15 month old Presa Canario that I have searched so hard to find. I emailed several no kill shelters and only received one response stating they only accepted small breed dogs. I really did not want to send him to a shelter, but I thought that was the only option but after not getting a response from any of the shelters it left me to continue my search. This led me to Rescue Me. My dog was posted for less then a week, and I had at least five inquiries. The very first person to come and see him adopted him. So I am so thankful for your services.

Things are going very well! Nasir enjoyed the car ride home, and I will bring him with me whenever possible. At home, we spent an hour touring my smaller home, sniffing every cranny. I have a sliding glass door in my bedroom which captured his attention, and where I let him out for his business and to be fed. My first new 'trick', which I learned from Cesar Milan (The Dog Whisperer) was to prevent his charging back inside by capturing him in my arms and waiting for him to relax. As soon as I felt his tension subside, I unclipped him, and by the third time, he no longer did this behavior. He taps on the glass when he is ready to come inside. He responds favorably to all the physical affection he demands. The benefit from all this petting was to remove all the dust and undercoat to the point that he just shines. I brushed him out, which he also enjoyed and because of this, I doubt he will ever need bathing, which is something I never did with my former dogs. He follows me everywhere, and comes on command. As for obedience, he does pretty well with 'Lie Down' and will learn the rest of the repertoire in time; I am in no hurry. We had a nice long walk at sundown, he frequently marked our boundaries and was very polite on lead. He was not hungry in the evening, which might be expected. We had a quiet evening, and he fell asleep on a pile of my dirty laundry, which I allowed to accustom him to my scent. I awoke in the morning to find us nose - to - nose; he awoke some time later to some playful cuddling. I am pleased to report he has a very 'soft mouth' which I tested by putting my fingers in his mouth and tugging on his jaw. This is a VERY good sign. We had a morning walk in the drizzle and he met my neighbor's goats; they were cautious, but he was inquisitive, another good sign. I fixed him a fried egg with his kibble and he made up for his empty belly, and I found him to be a very well-behaved eater, as if he enjoyed it, which I'm sure he did. He is sleeping now, and as the adage goes, this pleases me. Thanks to the former owners and Rescue Me!

I posted Alfie's story late one evening. The first person who called early the next morning adopted him. Alfie's new human has excellent references and a resume perfect for this match. His human of three years since he was found wandering in California and the new human met and decided together what he needed and how each of them would help Alfie have the best plan forward. What I love about Rescue Me is the platform to find homes for dogs without the costs and some of the constraints of using other adoption services. Very good potential homes may not have the money to pay a breeder or even a shelter and still provide a wonderful home for a loving dog. Please use this site and by all means, give them a donation to keep it going!

Thank you for allowing us to use your wonderful website to find our Scooter Bearz the perfect home. It was traumatic for us to even consider giving up our beloved Akita 'Scooter Bearz' due to job change which required us to relocate to another state where we were unable to find housing that would accept Akitas. Because of your caring and devotion to these wonderful creations, we were able to meet many passionate and devoted Akita owners that truly cared about the welfare of our beloved pet and shared the same passion for this breed that we do. These people were such a blessing to us. Through Rescue Me, we were blessed to find the perfect home and companions for our Scooter Bearz and they have been sharing pictures, via text and email, of theirs and Scooters new adventures together. Although we are still missing Scooter terribly, we know that he is in the best possible home for him as these new owners have raised Akitas and also train them to be service dogs (although Scooter has become their beloved new companion and will remain in their home permanently). As you know, Akitas require special care and handling and this husband and wife team are very familiar with those special needs. We feel confident that Scooter Bearz is where he needs to be and we have been graciously welcomed to visit him at their home whenever we want to. This could have only happened because of your passion to build this website and match the perfect owners with their new companions. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You have no idea what a blessing that your endeavor has been to us. May God Bless you always. Sherry and Dennis

My husband and I were fortunate enough to have shared our home with a beautiful toy poodle named Butterscotch for 13 years. When Butterscotch died two years ago, we knew that we would adopt another poodle, but decided to wait until we retired to bring a new dog into our home. We both retired in June and felt drawn to adopt an older dog. We were getting alerts from Rescue Me for a few months and just kept going back to Lucky! There was something about his entry that touched us and so we decided to contact his owner. After talking on the phone and learning about Lucky's background and some of his physical challenges, we decided to take a ride up to meet our little senior friend. What can I say? It was love at first sight! We took to each other right away! Despite his senior status, Lucky has a lot of energy. He loves a good walk and is very friendly. He's just a sweet, old guy who needed a home where he could get lots of time and attention. His former owner wanted to do right by Lucky and we are happy that he was comfortable in choosing us. Lucky settled in so easily to our home. He's a well mannered little cuddle-bug and we just love him. Thanks Rescue Me for the work you do! We are the 'Lucky' ones!
