Scout has been adopted by a wonderful retired couple. He will be spending his time relaxing by the fireplace and will become a snowbird in the winter. Lucky boy!! Thanks to everyone for your interest, this is a wonderful resource.

Tiger was rejected by his family of twelve years (since puppyhood) because the owner that loved him died and the spouse wanted to travel. He was adopted by a homeless man for five months who abandoned him on the street. No one wanted to adopt him because of his age, but, a retired couple decided a 'turn key' dog was perfect. He was potty trained, didn't jump on furniture, counters or people, didn't chew up anything but rawhides, and was calm, but had a lot of life. He was strong and healthy and you might think he was only about five years old. Tiger is really smart and has a funny personality. So, his new mom and dad took him to their ranch, where he gets three walks a day, and has a new best friend dog that visits a lot. His new family is thrilled with him because he's a happy, good natured guy that didn't need training or had to grow out of that excitable stage. And they take him with them on trips because he's well behaved. Please consider a senior dog because they are so easy and, for a retiree, no worries that the dog may outlive you.

I want to thank you Rescue Me! You helped me find an incredible home for my parents dog in less than a week. I received about ten calls about Duke, and they all sounded like wonderful people. When I met with Duke's new mommy I clicked with her right away. And, after getting to know her... Duke liked her, too. I know that within a week he will feel right at home there FOREVER. It was such a painful experience to have to place a dog in a new home but it couldn't of gone any better. Thank you so much for your help! Leigh

Thank you Rescue Me! for helping me find my beloved Riley a great new home. I love and miss Riley so much and would have loved nothing more than to keep him with me, but I couldn't. Thanks to Rescue Me!, I was able to find Riley a loving home. I enjoyed his company for the first part of his life and now the new adoptive family will enjoy his company for the rest of his life! I love you my sweet boy and always will. You will always have a special place in mommy's heart. I hope you like your new family as much as I do and I can only hope they will love you as much as I do.

Rescue Me! was very helpful and Roxi has been adopted by a very nice young woman and I feel very happy with the results. She has gone to a great home and that was my goal as anyone who has to give up an animal. It's not easy, but when you know they're going to be loved and taken care the way I did, I am assured she is going to have a great life. Thank You Rescue Me!

I recently got a new promotion at work which involved longer hours. Unfortunately, I was no longer able to care for my Shar-Pei Simba because he was used to a lot of attention. Through Rescue Me!, I was able to meet several families and make a decision based who was best suited for Simba. I am happy to say that a wonderful family adopted Simba. The family had recently lost their Shar-Pei, so I am comfortable knowing they will give him all the love and attention he deserves. They have remained in touch, allowing me to visit him. Thank you Rescue Me!

Thank you Rescue Me! Max found a good home with a lovely couple who have the proper space and time to spend with him. He even has a new sister Jack Russell Terrier named Annie. We've owned Max for 10 years, since he was a puppy, and while it was heartbreaking for me and my children to let him go we know it will be a much better environment for Max. It really helped the kids to be able to see Max's new home, meet the couple who were going to adopt him, and meet his new sister! Thank you Rescue Me!

Buddy is now known as Tater Bug and he is the spitting image of my old man, Ziggy, who died 2 years ago at 16. He was totally blind from birth, and Tater seems to be totally sightless also. This is not a big deal to us, or to our older female Miz Pod who has taken to him like the proverbial duck to water! She resisted all our efforts to find her a friend till we found this little guy. Tater took to being a house-pug right away, and since we live in our motorhome about half the year, he has had to adjust to being a well-travelled kid as well! We could not have asked for a better fit for our family! Now if we can just fix his diet so we don't get run out of the place by pug fart, he will be the perfect pug! We got a keeper! Thank you Rescue Me! Hugs and blessings.

Ice was a rescue like most of my beloved dogs who come in. She was found in terrible state, and in the process of giving birth. She gave birth to 10 puppies. She was an excellent mom, but due to her neglect and bad state she only had milk for a week. I had to bottle feed all the babies. When they came to the age of eight weeks, I started looking for homes. All found wonderful families immediately. Chelly the last born and weakest of the pups I kept with her mom. Chelly got sterilized on Monday with two of her brothers and sisters. By Wednesday both of them found a wonderful family together via Rescue Me! They are living on a very big secure property, got their own pool which they love to swim in, have children to play with, and are sleeping indoors with their human mommy and daddy now. Thank you Rescue Me! for ensuring that these fur children of mine found their forever homes so fast. I would like to recommend Rescue Me! to everyone.

We immediately received inquiries regarding our two little Cairn Terriers. Our little Cairns Crosby and Sadie have been adopted into a wonderful forever home thanks to Rescue Me! They are now living with a family with four young children who are already planning birthday parties for the two of them. After meeting with Crosby and Sadie, the family loved them and we could tell Crosby and Sadie were receptive to them as well. After a couple of get-togethers with the pups, we had no doubt this family was a good match and know Crosby and Sadie will be greatly loved and happy!

We were so blessed to have adopted a beautiful Golden named Prince. My wife and I lost our prior Golden, Jagger, after 14 years of being a family. We waited six months before we started looking for a rescue/adopted dog and were very fortunate we found Rescue Me! The parents of Prince were wonderful and caring and obviously provided a great home for him. Due to several moves in a short time and a pending move possibly out of the country, they decided to find a life time home for their boy. We live in a great area with many ponds and open space full of Canadian geese and deer. It won't be long before Prince is swimming and 'playing' with the geese. I want to thank Jeff Gold and the awesome parents for helping us find our four legged son. I will surely spread the news to others looking to adopt or offer their pets for adoption, or volunteer or contribute! Regards, Paul

Thank you to Rescue Me! for helping me in adopting Tebo! I had another 15 year old dog I had to put down recently due to a massive mass on her liver. She was my best friend. I was sad and lonely as I began to search for a new dog. Then I came across Tebo. He seemed like a nice dog. So I decided to meet him. It was love at first pet. Rescue Me! was hugely instrumental in helping me find and meet sweet little Tebo. I adopted him shortly after meeting him. He is currently getting over a mild case of kennel cough, but he should be home with us soon. Sometime next week I imagine. I can scarcely contain myself because I am so happy. Thank you for your assistance in helping me find Tebo.

The little sweetheart I ended up calling Ruby because she is a jewel has been adopted! She made an amazing turn around in just the few days I had her. From being totally untouchable and terrified to wanting to be held and cuddled. It was super tough to give her up but her new mom is kind and loving. She has a laid back Chihuahua brother who she will be mothering in no time! I am very grateful for Rescue Me! and the many responses I received about her. Thank you!

Rescue Me! absolutely helped me! I rescued this wonderful young dog from a backyard life of neglect when the owner offered him to me. I had no intention of keeping him, I just wanted him out of there, and to start a new life. After bathing him, removing all his mats, and starting his vaccinations I posted him with you, and within one day I had interviewed the most perfect new owner. She drove nine hours to get him and all of us could not be happier. You provided so much more help and service than the local rescue agencies, who now only accept dogs that are already in danger in a shelter. I needed someone like you to step in and get the word out about this little guy! Thank you!

I rescued a one year old cockapoo from a deplorable living situation of neglect. I knew at the time that I could not keep him, but I couldn't leave him when the dead beat owner offered him to me. I thought I would have no problem finding him a home via the local rescue agencies. I was so wrong. They offered me no help. If it wasn't for Rescue Me!, I would have been forced to turn him in to a local shelter an risk having him put down. I know Rescue Me! saved the life of this beautiful young dog, and helped me beyond measure. Thank you, Jeff! I will talk you up to everyone I know!

I was very worried about finding a new home for my Nessa but Rescue Me! helped a lot. I found two lovely ladies that at one time had a Yorkie and knew a lot about them and missed their dog and I know how that feels. I knew she would be loved and cared for. They even had me call their vet to make sure I knew I found the right people to care for her. I called that night so I'd be able to sleep and they said she was playing a lot with them and they stop at the pet store and brought all kinds of things for her, and I could call anytime if I wanted, so thanks for Rescue Me!

I would like to say that I have found wonderful forever homes for the four Mastiff-mix puppies I rescued! I was allowed to rescue these puppies after their mother died. I feel that her death was the direct result of being improperly homed. My mission became finding these sweet babies forever homes with loving owners prepared to care for a Mastiff sized dog! I am happy to say that all the puppies are now in forever homes, fully vetted, and truly loved! One went to Nashville, two to Knoxville and one to New York State. I could never have made these connections without you! Thank You So Much

Today Katera has a new forever home. Thanks to Marykay and her family. They drove 300 miles down to where I live from Northern Wyoming to get her. She only weighed 59lbs. when she came into our home (she weighed 81lbs when she was given to the people that had abused her). I weighed her last week and she is back up to 70lbs. She has gained 11 pounds in 2 months. I want to express a heart felt thanks to Rescue Me! and everyone that made this happen for Katera. She has become a part of our family and is going to be dearly missed but I know that she will never be abused again and she will get the love she deserves. Thanks again.

I recently had to put down my old dog after 15 years together because she was sick. I was missing her companionship terribly, so I started searching the internet for various dog breeds that might be suitable for me and my family. That is when I stumbled across Rescue Me! With their help I found a few likely candidates for a new dog. Then I saw a photo of Tebo. I decided to investigate this cute little guy further. To my delight, he met all the criteria we were looking for: a sweet, gentle dog that does not shed much and is good with children. I went to meet Tebo, and he and I became friends quickly. He was just as sweet and gentle as his information said. I am very happy with this adorable little dog. I thank Rescue Me! and the Arizona Small Dog Rescue for their help in helping me and my new friend find each other.

I know that she will have a very good home, after meeting these people. For everyone that responded, thank you. I tried to get back to everyone in a timely manor. Thanks Rescue Me!

I had an AMAZING experience on Rescue Me! We had an overwhelming response and we found a great home for our lovely Paisley. We will miss her, but the process was made better due to the immediate and loving help from the people of Rescue Me! I hope I never need to use it again to rehome a dog, but when we look for another Aussie we will definitely come here!

I have owned Cocoa and Scout since they both where puppies. Over the last several years my husband has had several back surgeries. Though they are older they are very energetic and want to be in the middle of everything. We can no longer keep them in fear that they may knock my husband down. Rescue Me! helped me find new families and homes for them within 24 hours of posting them. Thank you so very much.

Today I met a wonderful woman who has offered me such great hope for the future of Milo, our dear Jack Russell, who was in need of a loving home. She called, less than 48 hours after I reluctantly posted his need for a home. She had lost her Jack Russell a couple of years ago and was looking for a companion, not only for herself, but for her other dog, whom she said had lost some of his spunk when his buddy had to be put to sleep. After swapping dog stories for about a half an hour, and hearing her obvious love for dogs, we agreed to meet at her house. I packed Milo's belongings in case the meeting went well and headed out on a trip that took nearly an hour. Shortly after we arrived, the dogs were lead outside, where her dog started to run around and Milo chased him. Then Milo ran, and her dog chased. She said she hadn't seen her dog run since he lost his buddy and this was exactly what she wanted for him. We visited for some time, as the dogs got to know each other. There was some posturing, and correcting, but for once, I saw no fear in Milo. She was very accepting of his total lack of manners, saying manners will come later. He ran in and out the dog door like he had done it all of his life. He chased squirrels and even met the cat (who I believe let him know he wasn't interested in playing with him at the moment). Before long, Milo came and laid at my feet, completely at ease. We both felt there was a great chance for Milo's success in her home. So, after a brief goodbye, I left. I was sad, naturally, but couldn't help feel elated at what a wonderful home Milo had found. I spent the whole drive home gushing to my husband about how well the meeting went and how happy I am for Milo. No sooner had I walked through the door, I got a call from Milo's new mom asking how I was doing. I assured her I was okay then she told me all about Milo's dinner and how he was doing. We have agreed to keep in touch. Thank you Rescue Me! Not only do I believe Milo has found a fabulous, loving home, I believe it has been a win for everyone!

After posting Beau, I received more than twenty-five emails from people who wanted to adopt him. I talked on the phone with many of those that responded to share information. It was a difficult decision to choose the right home environment for Beau, but finally I decided to place him in a loving home in Durham , NC. I will miss him dearly! He was my buddy and my friend. Now I know he will have an excellent home with responsible owners.

We recently started looking for a new family member. We had lost our beloved Murphy of eight years on May 31, 2013 and had decided we did not want another pet ever. It was very heart-breaking when he passed. So one day out the blue I started searching for puppies on the internet without the knowledge of my spouse. I went to a lot of sites and checked out lots of pets on these sites. I notified the lady who had our 'Lily' and we tried to hook up, but the darn weather kept us from getting together a couple of times. So I went to several shelters and rescues closer to Sedalia (she was three hours away). When my spouse found out about what I had been doing he started searching as well. He fell in love with Lily and her sister Minnie online. So we once again contacted Lily's caregiver and finally we met her. Her sister Minnie had gotten adopted the very day we went to see Lily. We fell in love with her and brought her home that day. She is already so much a part of our family. My grand kids (all 6 of them) love her and she loves them. She is playful with them and never aggressive at all. She loves to be loved and we could spend every waking moment loving her. Thanks to Rescue Me! my family and my newest family member are extremely happy. We really needed her to be in our lives as much as she needed a forever home.

I posted Roscoe's picture on Rescue Me! on a Tuesday evening. By Thursday, I had found a family for him. I was overwhelmed at the response I received, but I had no difficulty deciding which home I wanted Roscoe to become part of. Although I will miss him terribly, I am certain that he will be welcomed and loved by his new owners. Rescue Me! offers a phenomenal service to dogs and dog lovers. Thank you!

Two years ago, my 17 year old Lhasa Apso crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. I did not intend to have another inside-the-house dog since I am elderly and a young Lhasa would probably out live me. However, about 6 months ago, I realized that I really did need an inside-the-house guard dog. Lhasa Apsos were bred for temple guard dogs and I like their personalities. I wanted another Lhasa! I started looking for a senior female Lhasa from a rescue organization. The ones I found were more money than my budget could afford or were too far away for me to travel or the rescue organization would not approve me because I do not have a fenced yard although I live in the country with no close neighbors. Then I found Rescue Me! and there was Zooey who needed a temporary home while her owner was overseas. This was ideal for me. I have a watch dog and I know she has a home to go back to so I do not worry what will happen to her when I can't take care of her any longer. Meantime, she likes country living and is enjoying many new experiences and I am enjoying her playfulness and company. Thank you for providing a forum where owners can find the right situation for their beloved Lhasa and Lhasa seekers can find the right dog for them.

A bloodhound we rescued from a horrible situation was posted on Rescue Me! and has now been adopted by a wonderful family! They have four daughters to love on her and a basset friend to help her learn about her new home.      I agonized over rehoming my dog. I was encouraged to begin receiving inquiries so quickly. Your recommendation to ask to speak to a potential family's Vet was excellent advice which was heeded. Mia is going to a wonderful family who lost their 13 year old Shepherd to cancer about a year ago. I was convinced by their scrapbook of cherished pet memories and wonderful stories that she will be happy having their undivided attention. It was tough to choose between such promising candidates as there are some very loving people willing to open their hearts & homes to a new member of the family. I would encourage others to look for a pet here first.

Most people that are pit bull owners know what it feels like to have their dog discriminated against because of its breed. But also get the benefit of having one of the most loyal dogs that was ever made! Jackson is one of the best! I was told after a year and a half of being at my apartment I was no longer allowed to keep Jackson because he was considered a pitbull breed. Just packing up and moving was easier said than done. I just started Paiton in kindergarten, I didn't have the finances to move right away and they gave me a deadline. I looked for months to find him a new place to go and then heard about the website Rescue Me! By far the best thing could have happened to my family at this specific time in need. I couldn't believe how easy and quick it was within 3 days I had several people asking about Jackson, on the 5th day I had a family coming to see him for the first time, on the 7th day said our good byes. I took Jackson to his new home. A wonderful family of four that also had another dog! Jacks couldn't be happier! Thanks so much to his new Family! *Jackson we love you so much* Most of all thank you Jeff, words couldn't express what you have done for more than just me by creating Rescue Me!

I found myself moving out of state and unable to take my loved ones with me. Dreading that I would have to take them to animal control, a friend suggested I try a rescue organization. After a short Google search, I found the wonderful Rescue Me! site. The posting was so easy and quick, and I had responses shortly thereafter. I was able to place Spanky and Maxie together. They are brother and sister and I did not want to separate them.

I had been looking on Rescue Me's Siberian Husky Rescue for about six months. I have a 13 year old husky, so I was looking for a senior husky to adopt. Rescue Me! led me to the perfect dog for my family. If it wasn't for this rescue, I probably wouldn't have found 10 year old Myra. Thank you so much, Rescue Me! I will definitely use your website when looking to adopt another husky. We love our Myra!

On Saturday, Zoe went home with a wonderful lady. Deb had lost a companion in December and didn't realize how lonely she would be. She found Zoe on Rescue Me! and we began emailing back and forth. Deb came to our home to visit Zoe and fell in love. Zoe now will be able to visit with Debs mom and dad who live next door they share 5 acres of land and Zoe will have the run of the land. This was such an amazing answer to prayer. A wonderful loving fur baby needing a loving home and this was perfect. Thank you so much for all you do.
