'Holly' uses doggy seat belts, has Serta mattress dog beds and lives on five acres so, she was a great candidate. The meet and greet went great tonight and... Holly adopted Rosa!      I want to thank Rescue Me! Without this site, I don't know if I would have found a new home for my girl, Nayla! She found a new mom and dad to take care of her thanks to you guys she's happy where she is! I definitely recommend this website for anyone trying to find a new home for their pet. It's heartbreaking, but it's not impossible! I miss my Nayla very much, but it makes me happy she is in a better place.      We were looking for a Siberian Husky on pet finder and it led us to Bender on Rescue Me! We were contacted the same night we filled out the adoption application online. Two days later, we went to meet Bender and his foster dad. The meeting went great and we wanted to add him to our family. The very next day they did the home inspection and Bender was ours. We are so happy to be this beautiful, sweet dog's forever home!

     We had a very difficult heart breaking situation with two dogs that we dearly loved, but that did not love each other, so we had to find a new home for one of them. We posted Xander on Rescue Me and got a response from a lovely couple that came to visit and decided Xander would be a good fit in their family. It was not easy to let Xander go, but it helped knowing that he would go to a good family that would love him as much as we did. This is a great service that allowed us to reach a much wider audience. I HIGHLY recommend supporting this great organization!

     Benny was rescued from a high kill shelter and had been attacked by another animal, and he came to us with stitches in his neck, kennel cough, giardia, and he was not even neutered.      We tried to find Ms. Kay a home after her owner (my mom) fell seriously ill after a heart attack and stroke. Since she was not a full boxer we couldn't find a rescue group to take her and I didn't want to take her to a shelter. Within a couple of days on Rescue Me, I found her the perfect home! We texted back and forth and made a plan to meet halfway between Kansas and Texas. I have already received pictures of Ms. Kay snuggling in bed with her new owner in her forever home and know she will be loved as much as my mom loves her. Thank you so much for this site!      My Heath was adopted by two adorable sisters who are college students. I could ask for a better family. They live with their parents, brother and a son of one of the young ladies. I often worried that my apartment manager would make me get rid of him even though I was granted permission to have him, but with his separation anxiety and incessant barking I knew it was a matter of time and due to my health I couldn't give him everything he needed, so out of love for my precious Heath, my husband and I put Heath's needs first and let him go. Thanks to the family that adopted him and thank you Resue Me for your help.

     I have a nine month old, full blooded Redbone Coonhound, who I recently got spayed. I wanted a puppy for her to baby. The previous week I had adopted a beagle mix puppy from the VHS. I was still looking for a hound. Saw Pattie, now renamed Diva Darlin, and saw the opportunity to have my own pack. My Coonhound is named Daisy Doodle and the beagle is Dolly Deuce. They have all bonded well and travel in and out of the house as a pack. I obviously have to get up early to let both young pups out to do their business, and when I do they get private play time with me. After about 30 minutes, they are ready to go back into their kennel until a few hours later when I get up for the day. At that time I get Dolly and Diva outside, then go get Daisy, who is in a much larger kennel. She immediately goes to the pups kennel to look for them and then she is out the door to round them up to play and run. Dolly and Diva haven't had all their shots so they were not able to go on the evening walks that I take Daisy on. Once they are current on their shots I will be working on walking them on a leash. Took the pups to the vet and Diva has giardia, so all are being treated even though Dolly didn't show that in her stool. I love my pack and look forward to raising all three to maybe be able to go to nursing homes and daycares. Thanks, Rescue Me!

     We drove two hours to meet Jesse on a Thursday and we knew he was the dog for us. His owner, Lisa Peterson, was so wonderful. We had an instant connection with Jesse. We went back and picked Jesse up on Saturday. Our last Schnauzer had died a year earlier and we really missed having a dog. We also have twin Grandsons that just started walking so we really needed a dog that was well socialized with children. Rescue Me was the best website to find what breed of dog we wanted and other information like that he was good around children. We couldn't be happier with Jesse. He is so sweet and has brought so much joy back into our lives. I have already recommended this website to others. Thanks Jeff for starting Rescue Me. We would have never found our sweet Jesse.      I called up the lady offering the dog and asked is she still had him she said yes and then asked if I could pick him up that day. This was a Sunday and an hour's drive for me and my husband one way. But to tell the truth, it was well worth it. I fell head over heels in love with him at first sight. We're going to keep calling him and Zeus. He was okay seeing me for the first time, but he kinda had second thoughts about my husband at first. Within a few minutes, we were hugging and petting and loving him as if he was ours forever. The drive home gave us such a delight as he would sit in the back of our truck and climb into the front seat into my husband's lap even though he's almost five years old and a big dog. My husband did not mind. When we got home, we put our other two dogs outside to let him come in and get acquainted with the house, then we open the back door and they all met each other and run around as if they had grown up together. No fighting, no nothing- it was doggy Heaven from first go. Thank you Rescue me for letting these people have him for us to adopt. Sincerely Sheila and Shawn

     A Big Thanks to 'Rescue Me' for finding Tuffy a new and loving home!!! With a heavy heart it was a countdown to euthanasia if we were unable to find a good home for this little old guy. Due to allergies and large dogs in the house, the family members were unable to take Tuffy in. Only two options remained, re-homing or euthanasia. We were hopeful and doing our best to spread the word around, yet there were many doubts because of his age. To our surprise though within a few days several folks stepped up to take in this sweet homeless pooch. These were solid, compassionate people who cared about, and loved Chihuahua's. All but one of the potential adopters were through Rescue Me. So on behalf of Tuffy and our family, we are incredibly grateful for this avenue that provided a new and happy chapter in his senior life. Oh, and Tuffy has two Chihuahua sisters that met him, liked him, and are now his best bud companions.

     I have been calling local no kill shelters for months trying to find room for both of my ex-husband's dogs, to no avail. He had been threatening for months to shoot them or to get rid of them because he couldn't care for them. I got him to agree to let me find them a home before doing something drastic. One of the shelters got tired if me calling and asking if they had room and suggested I use this website. But just before the deadline for having them euthanized, I began to receive emails of interested people. I texted my ex each time I got an email, but the people didn't follow through. But that got him to hold off each time also. Thankfully, a family adopted both dogs! Thank you to that family! And thank you for Rescue Me! My two beautiful boys will have a real family again and their lives were saved.

     Recue Me is a great site. I had five inquiries within an hour of posting and they were experienced Rottie owners. The family that adopted him called me personally and we talked for a good 20 minutes. He and his wife travelled three hours to meet Caesar and instantly fell in love with him. I called later that evening and the joy of the new owner's voice was heartfelt. He shares that Caesar is loved and by everyone and settling in great. They promise to keep me updated with pictures and periodic calls. It was hard to let him go, but happy to know he will be well loved.

     It was just meant to be! Can I say LOVE at FIRST PICTURE! It had been a couple of months since we lost our 15 year old Lab. We had just started the process of adopting another doggie. One day I was trolling the internet sites and came across Rescue Me! Well, that's all it took was a picture of sweet Charlotte. After talking with the owner and hearing about her, I knew she was the one! My husband and I drove from Houston to Lake Charles to meet her and pick her up! The first couple of days were a bit challenging, but after about a week she acts like she has lived here all her life. This is our second rescue dog an we couldn't be more happy!

     Brutus has found a good home with a family in the country. He has the run of a one acre fenced yard, and free run of a home with two adults who have experience with pit bulls.      Thank you so much, Rescue Me! We rescued a miniature pinscher (Raskel) from a puppy mill who was temperamental due to being abused and neglected. Although he is beautiful, we knew it would be a challenge to place him. We were completely honest in his bio. Tonight we received a call from a lovely young lady who was so so excited to meet Raskel! I could tell she was close to tears with excitement when I told her he was still available. She came to the house an hour later. She was sold on Raskel right away. It took him a little bit to warm up to her, but she was awesome with him. She had a min pin before and completely understood his nature. We gave her his blanket, which she wrapped him in and she held him as he was on his back and she walked him out the door. We are so thrilled he has a wonderful human than understands his special nature and whom he trusts. She belongs to Raskel now and it's a beautiful thing.

I am so incredibly happy to have found such a wonderful family to take him and give him a home. Losing my brother was hard enough, but then when I had to find a place for Hank, it became even harder.      Maggie was adopted via Rescue Me. She is a wonderful, loving, playful dog and it killed us to put her back up for adoption, but she was constantly running off and the neighbors were starting to complain. Gratefully, the circumstances have changed, and she now has the space she needs to run around within our new fenced in yard and have a great life with us. We love her so much!      My husband and I adopted Rico from PAAWS. We had been looking for another Chihuahua since the Fall of 2017. When we came across Rico on Rescue Me, we fell in love with his sweet face. We drove from Indianapolis to Evansville to meet the foster parent and Rico. We brought our Chihuahua, Shelbie, with us since ultimately she would be the deciding factor on whether we would adopt Rico. She instantly got along with Rico.      We rescued sweet Gracie from a dreadful situation. We were able to get her the life saving surgery she needed. She is a wonderful pup with the most loving personality, but she just didn't do well with our animals. Gracie was better suited for a house with no other pets. We were having a hard time finding someone that would fit those needs. Then we found Rescue Me shortly after posting we got a few responses but they weren't right. Then it went quite for awhile and then an email from what sounded like the perfect home. After speaking with her new owner my worries eased. There was good communication and honesty from both parties. Upon meeting the bond was built and Gracie went to a loving home where she would be the queen of the couch and get all the attention to herself. Her new owner is giving Gracie the life she deserves. Spoiling her rotten and training her too. Rescue Me was wonderful and thank you.

He is a lovely pup - well behaved, eager to please, and happily adjusting to his new circumstances. His Foster Mom, Crystal, was a pleasure to work with. I cannot thank you enough for entrusting this wonderful boy to us!

     I rescued Benji off the streets near my neighborhood and fostered him until I could find a new loving home for him. Just a few days after rescuing him, I received a message from a woman who was interested in adopting Benji. His new owner lives four hours away and can't wait to come and pick him up to take him to his new home. The woman loves to go on hikes and can't wait to have Benji join her!      I lost my Rott in late spring and missed his presence so much I decided I needed to find a new friend, but I also new that there were many dogs out there that needed a friend also and chose to adopt. I found Max after only a couple of months searching his owners had moved into the city and he was being boarded at her friends who themselves had a very busy life and just did not have the time to give Max the attention he required. I adopted Max after being on your site only three hours and five days later I had him home Max and I hit it off right off the bat.
