I had Cocoa for over a year and it broke my heart when I had to leave her at her new home. But the good girl that she walked right up to her new owner and was extremely excited. It hurt me most leaving as I can hear her crying. I know she is in better hands now and the owner also told me I am able to see her anytime. She was one of the best things that happened to me and she will never be replaced. Thank you for the help finding her a good home, Rescue Me!

The site was easy to use and I was able to find a great owner by the third email. I'm so grateful my dog didn't have to be put down or go through any pounds. This is a great tool for saving dogs & helping families! Thanks so much, Rescue Me!

After a terrible start in life where these bonded siblings were neglected and then over a year living shelter life in Santa Maria Valley Humane Society, a documentary video made by one of Angel and Halo's shelter volunteer fans turned me on to these dogs and the possible relationship that could be had with them. I then posted their video on Rescue Me and received a few 'hits'. The latest one from an experienced couple in Los Angeles who had just lost their American Bulldog to cancer started communications and committed to meeting them today with their eight year old, docile lab. All are going home together tonight. So happy for Angel & Halo!

We posted Freda on Friday with several interested in her. On Sunday, a family notified us they would love to come meet Freda. They were approved for adoption. Freda went out to greet a woman, a man and a 12 year old girl. They all fell in love with our attention loving Freda. Freda is a queen in a new home with a fenced yard and two brothers to play with too. Rescue Me is a wonderful service!

It has been a year since I lost my baby. This little guy's picture just touched my heart. This website is a great way to rescue. The owner was very responsive and willing to answer all my questions via email. He will be home in two days. The Rescue Me process was quick and easy. I have rescued in the past, but I would say this process was less demanding.

My dear, kind and loving Albert was adopted to a beautiful home where I know he is loved beyond measure. I have told so many people about Rescue Me. It was a wonderful way to re-home your baby. We went through several different prospects before deciding on the perfect home. It also gives the people looking to adopt a chance to make sure it is the right fit for them. Rescue Me only asks for donations if you are so inclined to do so. What a fabulous organization. I hope I never have to do this again (heartbreaking to say goodbye) But if you do, remember Rescue Me. They are awesome!

Brandy is a sweet, young, Pitbull mix who was pulled by a rescue organization in Memphis, Tennessee from a high kill shelter there. She was brought to Colorado on the Hope for Paws transport and kept in a foster home for several weeks. Yesterday, she was adopted by a couple in the Denver area who described her as 'perfect' and a 'Velcro dog' because she stays so close to the members of her new family and seems so happy. Brandy found her forever home! Thank you, Rescue Me!

Wow! Rescue Me, thank you! We have the most amazing story to share! Our beloved Memphis found a new home yesterday. His new owner is a young disabled veteran with PTSD. Memphis will live out his days as a service dog. He has two new human brothers, a six year old boy and an eleven month old boy. He will get all the love, attention and exercise he truly deserves and the unique and honorable opportunity to serve his countrymen. I hope this happy ending rescue story will inspire others to do something for someone in need in the community. Bless you, Memphis, just for being you! We love and cherish you always.

I posted Darren and Dora on Rescue Me. They were from a litter of five puppies that were abandoned on the Island of Aruba at the tender age of four weeks old. A wonderful group of people worked to foster them in Aruba, volunteered to transport them to the States, foster them here and locate homes for them. Dora and Samantha were adopted. We still have Darren, Tabitha, and Serena, who all need homes. They are now 11 weeks old. Up to date on all vaccinations and ready for adoption. Rescue Me has been a tremendous help in locating good forever homes. Still need more help! Thank you!

I received numerous inquiries about Molly. I was very skeptical of who I could trust as far as adopting goes. However, I met one lady who worked for the United Yorkie Rescue and she was wonderful. Molly has since been spayed and updated on her shots. She is still with the United Yorkie Rescue waiting for her forever home. If you are still interested in adopting her, please visit the United Yorkie Rescue website and under the looking for love link, you will find her picture and a little bio. Thanks Rescue Me, for helping me find a wonderful place to help her while she waits for her new family.

This handsome guy was adopted by a wonderful family in Mississippi as a surprise for their 10 year old son. What dog wouldn't want to have a 10 year old boy to play with and grow up with?! They live in the country with acreage to run and play on, and even a pond. Over the course of the past few months, we had quite a few people respond to Jupiter's posting, but never followed up to my replies, texts or phone calls. Eventually, a family that was sincere about adopting him, contacted me. I am happy that I renewed his post on Rescue Me and hopefully Jupiter has found his forever home and family!

Thank you, Rescue Me! We found a little dog that was apparently dumped in the middle of a busy intersection. In spite of that, I tried in vain to locate her owners for two months. I decided that rehoming her was the best thing I could do for her. I made sure she was spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. She found a fantastic forever family in Oklahoma. Thank you to Chad and Tricia and your pup Louis for adopting Piper.

Cooper was adopted over the weekend by a sweet, sweet lady. He has a new Momma, Ms. Marcia. It sounds like he will loved, cuddled and spoiled so much. We are blessed, the Lord had a hand in this adoption. Ms. Marcia needed a new Beagle to love and Cooper needed a new home without little seniors to dominate and be aggressive toward. Still very hard to give up this sweet boy (most of the time), but glad he has found a wonderful new, furever home of love! Thank you so much for your help in this adoption, Rescue Me!

Thank you, Rescue Me! My foster mom, Cristina Bates was great, I had two siblings to play with. My new mommy came all the to Centerville to pick me up. I showed her love immediately. I now have a younger brother, Hoss and an older sister, Lady. Lady has already put me in my place. I think I will be very happy here. I found the doggie door right away and my mommy was very happy. Although I just got here, she gave all of us baths..... It wasn't too bad. My sister went first, then me and then my brother. We have lots of FOOD!!! Mommy has a big feeder and a HUGE water bowl. I found the pool (ha, ha). I'm older than my brother, but he's bigger. Every time I go to check out the house, my brother follows me to make sure I don't get in trouble. I think I will be happy here. Mommy doesn't believe in chains and the yard is big for running around. I've already been out with my siblings chasing the birds. Thank you Ms Bates for taking me out of a bad situation, and thanks for finding my new mommy.

I have had many inquiries for Pumpkin in just a short week. A woman and her daughter will be picking her up on Wednesday. They are very excited and looking forward to having Pumpkin become part of their family. She has had an Australian Shepard once before and knows the needs that this breed comes with. We are so glad that she has had experience with Aussies prior to Pumpkin and we feel comfortable and think this is a good match for her and her new parents. We are sad to see her go, but we know she is going to a good home. Thank you, Rescue Me!

My husband and I were amazed by the number of folks who saw our post and immediately contacted us for information about Gina. Since the posting was a spur-of-the-moment event once I heard about Rescue Me, we quickly realized that for a successful outcome, Gina would have to be able to be loaded into a crate in order to make it to her new home. We had not been trying to handle her as she was so suspicious of anything new we tried to do with her, but we did attempt to see how well or badly she might lead, etc. We were shocked that she has evidently never worn a collar or been led and our initial effort was met with total panic on her part! The possibility of being able to relocate her to a safe place grew very unlikely. However, an awesome couple from made the long trip to pick her up today! They volunteer at their local shelter, help with rescues, and knew how to approach Gina and gain her confidence enough that she was fairly quickly secured in a crate with no fuss and on her way to a fenced home with kids, other dogs and even cows to play with! The outcome is so much better than we could have hoped! This site saved a very needy dog! We will miss her, we won't miss worrying about her roaming far and wide, and the inevitable searching the highway for her body. She is one very lucky dog!!!

Our beloved Belgian, Smokey, passed away unexpectedly in April of this year, at only 7. After several days of grief and heartbreak (and a too quiet house), I started visiting websites with Belgians for sale/adoption. Just to look! And then I saw this post for Storm. I was intrigued. If we were going to get another dog, he was perfect. male, one year old. But our family decided we were going to wait a few months before talking about getting another dog. However, later that same evening I caught my husband researching Belgians! I mentioned that I had seen one that I liked. He called the phone number listed in the ad and spoke with the owner. We texted back and forth sending pictures of Smokey and Storm to each other. Storm's owner was moving and could not take him and was heartbroken. He felt he owed it to Storm to find the right family. Someone who knew about what Belgians need. We live in Tucson, he was in Prescott. But as fate would have it, my husband was going to Prescott the very next morning for work. And it was only a couple of blocks away from where Storm was! They met up, my husband loved him, and brought him home that night with him. Storm has already filled our lives with so much joy and love. We would never have imagined that we could have so much happiness after losing Smokey. Thank you Rescue Me! We're so glad we found you!

Thank you, Jeff and Rescue Me! Bear was adopted today, thank you. He was only on your site for less than two hours before I connected with his new forever home. I was familiar with the site because we adopted our Saint Bernard five years ago, Butch, from the site. Quick back story, is that I heard about a family taking Bear, Great Pyrenees/Saint Bernard, to the Humane Society (nine months old and 100 pounds was a little big for them). I drove over and adopted him from that family to ensure he could find a forever home with this website. I found the site very easy to use to post and the immediate response was overwhelming. I did follow up with each and every family that contacted me, letting them know Bear found a forever home. Thank you for having a vehicle like this to connect people and pets so wonderfully!!!

Our sweet little seniors have gone together to a couldn't be better forever home. Their new mother, Jan, is a compassionate and a very knowledgeable dog lover. She's adopted two previous rescue dogs. Pirate Pete is in one of the photos as he and Brenna become acquainted. All of the dogs got along fine; Piper was preoccupied with 'squirrel patrol' during the photo shoot. Thank you to all who helped Brenna and Finley on their journey, by sharing their story and keeping them in your thoughts and prayers. We send special thanks to the good people at the Dog Stop South who gave Brenna and Finley good care and good times at doggy day care. Most especially we thank Jan for opening her heart and home to Brenna and Finley and making the rest of their lives the best of their lives. Thank you, Rescue Me!

I had a couple people contact me who then backed out when I reminded them that he is blind. Then a lady contacted me who sounded seriously interested in a dog with special circumstances. We met this lovely lady with children who instantly fell in love with him, and he immediately took to them! That's when we knew he was in the right home. Thank you, Rescue Me!      My wife and I were looking for a Silky Terrier adult male in Florida for six weeks when we found Rescue Me. We were pleasantly surprised to see two Silky Terriers available for adoption that were not too far away, and Magnus was exactly what we were looking for. So we contacted the owner to learn more about Magnus and discovered that our search was over. Magnus has been with us only a couple of days, but it's clear he is the perfect dog for our family; gentle, affectionate, playful, and a good companion to our female five year old Yorkie/Toy Poodle mix. The two dogs are already trailing each other around the house and engaging in some gentle games with the available toys. We love Magnus, and know he will be with us for a long time enjoying a healthy, happy, safe life in our home.

The last year or so I've been considering getting a puppy, then on a recent camping trip with friends someone had their new puppy with them. The camping trip with that little dog effected all of us. It made my mind up that the time is right, and truthfully, it is. I have lots of time to spend bonding with a pet this summer. Rescue Me made the search very easy. I never had to leave the house. Once I identified the puppy for me, the process was quick and easy. Can't wait until my companion arrives. Thanks to all the staff at Rescue Me for walking me through the process.

Freckles is now playing with her toys again, she was depressed after losing her previous owner whom she absolutely adored and stuck by every moment. She was an incredible woman with so much love and vigor! She passed away two months before her 100th birthday. She would be so happy to know that Freckles is in a good home! Freckles has adapted well in her new, forever home. She likes to lay on her owners clothes, lie in the sun and go to the park to play ball with all of her new friends! She has really settled in and is very happy!

Looking for a dog, I knew I wanted a border collie since that was the breed I grew up with. After looking at numerous sites, I came upon Rescue Me! I found the ideal match, contacted the owner, and now I'm the proud owner of 'Lillie.'

Lily has been adopted out to a wonderfully loving couple whom she instantly connected with. The best part is that she will be traveling the world with them. I can rest easy as Lily goes home to a large fenced in yard where she can run and play fetch all day long. She also has a swimming pool and will be taking lessons. Rescue Me's service was invaluable in finding Lily such an awesome fur-ever home! Many Thanks!

Rescue Me helped me find the baby of my dreams. I have never had an option to select a dog before I took them because I was their last chance at life. I am extremely grateful and excited to actually have my first puppy that needs me. Susan Shenkin adopted George, a wonderful mixture of love.

Thank you so much Jeff for creating this website. Rebekah was adopted by a sweet family who has lots of experience with pets of all types. This is the perfect home for Rebekah. Rescue Me is wonderful and I am so grateful that I found your organization to list both of my poodle mixes.

I got my first Schnauzer from a breeder 11 years ago and fell in love with the breed. When wanting to add another sweet dog to add to my fur family, I decided that I felt better about getting a rescue. There are so many sweet animals out there that need a good home and lots of love. After lots of looking at multiple rescue sites, I found my new sweet dog. His foster had wonderful things to say about him and I knew he would be a good fit for me. He has settled in nicely, and I see more of his fun and sweet personality come out every day. He is getting more relaxed and more social everyday as well. He is starting to walk on the leash and loves playing with his new dog and cat friends. I am so happy with my decision to adopt. Thank you, Rescue Me!

We could not keep our dear Hamilton, but within hours of posting his picture and profile on Rescue Me, we were in contact with his forever home. We took him for a visit and they loved him. He was the dog they had been searching for four weeks. He is now with them and we are so thankful we could re-home him and not surrender him to a shelter or pound. Thank you for a quick and easy site to connect animal lovers. Thank you from the people who can't keep their pets to the ones searching for their next family pet. Love you forever, Hammy.

After trying unsuccessfully for six months to find the perfect home for my buddy, we finally found the perfect match. Duncan is now living on a farm in Georgia with a couple who recently lost their own dog to cancer. They are loving and patient with Duncan and have sent me updates and pictures. They are all adjusting to each other. I miss my boy, but I am so glad to have found him a loving home. Thank you for your help, Rescue Me!

Thank you Rescue Me for helping us find a forever, loving home for Petey. Petey needed someone that was home more than our busy family and able to give him the attention and companionship he so desperately needed. I know he is going to be wonderfully happy in his new home. Thanks again for matching him with such great people.

I have adopted two dogs from Rescue Me! I have to say it's the best experience I have ever had as far as owning a pet. I had a very loved pet pass away and I felt such a devastating loss that I wanted to help another animal. I had never adopted a rescue before. The two dogs that I rescued immediately became my family and filled up a large part of the void I was feeling. They are so sweet and well behaved. I will never adopt another puppy, I will always rescue. Rescues are so happy and want to please. Wonderful pets plus you find out a little about their personality up front so you know if they will fit into your household or not.

We used Rescue Me to find our new furbaby Dalton. Our Chloe (his new sister) had become lonely since the passing of her sister. We felt she would be happier with a new playmate and thought of rescue as the only route to take. Although we've only had him for a few days Dalton has been adjusting smoothly to his new forever home. We couldn't be happier with Rescue Me for this wonderful experience. Highly recommended! Thank you for being here to help save these beautiful pups!!

I was so pleased with Rescue Me's services for re-homing a pit bull puppy. I had several people contact me and was able to find him a great home at a vineyard and winery. Such an easy process and I am very happy with the dog's new home and owner. Thank you Rescue Me for everything you do. I will be sharing my experience with friends and my vet.

So happy for Monty! He first started his new adventure in a vet clinic for six months while the people abandoned him during boarding. So sad! Then we arranged for him to come stay with us for more interaction. It took him six months to finally be seen, and the family is adoring! He is fitting in well with all the neighbors, their pets and the whole family. He deserves the best... Thank you, Rescue Me!

What an incredible love story! Sadie was adopted by a couple who lost their beloved 17 year old Lab/Plott Hound mix. After searching for a new addition to their family for months, they saw Sadie on Rescue Me and simply knew she was the one. After driving from St. Louis to North Carolina to pick her up, Sadie now has a new home with acres to run that backs up to a preserve. She's camping this weekend and they had a 'welcome to the neighborhood' Tiki party in her honor. Sadie will now be living the life all dogs dream of and certainly deserve. Welcome to your new home, Sadie Girl!

Ranger and Daisy were adopted together by a family who (I still can't believe it) live on a 106-acre cattle ranch. They will be on a family parcel with multiple houses and in-laws and plenty of animals to chase. They may actually get tired! So happy they can enjoy their instincts to work and herd. I could not be happier that they get to stay together. Thank you, Rescue Me!

Jordan was with FFDR for just shy of four years. He came into the rescue as a survivor of being a bait dog. He went through intense rehab and became a wonderful dog. Many looked him over because his tail and ears were never docked. Jordan's lifelong wish came true, he found a family and home of his very own. Since the last update from his new family, he is adjusting very well and loving life. Thank you, Rescue Me!

I received a call within hours of posting on Rescue Me. Through a few texts and emails, she was adopted within a week's time. She's very happy where she is and I couldn't be happier with her new owner. I see a lot of love in her owner's heart and I believe Sophie will be well taken care of. Thank you for having a rescue for these big dogs!

We were blessed with finding a perfect home for Gizmo, thanks to Rescue Me. Gizmo will not be leaving us for at least another ten days, his neuter, vet check, and immunizations will be brought up to date. Once that has been completed, he will be on his way. Meantime, I am sharing pictures and videos with his new family.

This is the second Rottweiler we have adopted from Rescue Me. Both experiences were fantastic. Two years ago, we got a girl Rottie who was a lot of work (we knew it and accepted it since we have had Rotties for years). For this adoption, we wanted to get a Rottie who was going to be fairly sociable and gentle with our formerly wild girl Rottie. We got a dream dog in Roko. We got him from Brent Badder, a trainer located in San Luis Obispo who gets rescued dogs and trains them so they are extremely well behaved and responsive. He is an absolutely fantastic trainer, you can watch his videos on YouTube, which I did and that was what led me to contact him for Roko. His videos were superb. We also have a Chihuahua and it was imperative to get another dog that was nice to him. Roko's behavior with smaller dogs being trained was really sweet in one of the videos. I feel we hit the Rottweiler lottery with Roko. We have never had a better trained Rottweiler, with a very easy going and sweet temperament. Roko sits, downs, stays, plays ball and is very responsive. He was even responsive without a leash (by accident) in our driveway the day after we got him. He's an amazing dog. Beautiful, gentle with our Rottie girl (who really should have gotten on his nerves, but he persevered with patience and they are best buddies now, jumping and playing together). Roko takes food from my hands gently. He walks on a leash without pulling me. I just love working with him and his company. He is very low key when he isn't working or playing, very mellow personality. Thank you Rescue Me for helping me find Roko and thank you Brent Badder for training him so well. He's perfect!

I found Maxine a forever home with two wonderful people. She has adapted to them well and they have four cats who are now her siblings. I am so glad she has been accepted by some of the cats and both of her new owners. They have a big yard for her and hearts of gold when it comes to loving her. Thanks, Rescue Me!

Rescue Me really helped find my dog a good home. The man who adopted him seemed really sweet and they have another type of dog. He sent me a video of the dog last night so it really helped me know that it was the right family.

We found Duke, a beautiful beagle, abandoned near a nursing home, laying on the ground. We took him back home and got him checked out and cleaned up. Gave him plenty of affection, food, and within just a few days he was doing pretty good. We knew we couldn't keep him long term (three cats, smaller home, work schedules) so we started looking for adoption resources and found the Rescue Me site. Very easy to use, and I was quite happy that within two or three days, we received three legitimate adoption inquiries. The last turned out to be a wonderful retired couple that had just recently lost a beloved beagle, and wanted to open their home to another, as well as to give their other dog a new buddy. After several phone and text conversations, and much picture sharing, we arranged a meeting with Duke. Of course, because Duke is a wonderful dog, there was no doubt and now he has a great forever home, with a new dog friend and a nice big yard to run in. I don't think it could have turned out much better for Duke than it did. So kudos to Rescue Me!

Thank you, Rescue Me! Zebo was my stepson's dog. My stepson has been struggling with drugs. He left his dog with us, but soon realized that he had a long rehab in front of him. He knew that it would be better for Zebo to go to a more stable home. He trusted me to handle it since I do dog rescue. I feel he made a mature decision and in the best interest of his dog. Prayers for my stepson as he goes through this process.

Snoop's dad adopted her as a puppy, and for more than 11 years they were best buddies. When her dad's housing situation changed, he tried to find a home for her before he had to move. She's been with us for three weeks now and has fit into our household just like she's always been here. We're keeping in touch with her 'first dad' too. He loves her as much as we do, and if his living arrangements permit, she may be able to go back to him in the future. Thanks to Rescue Me for providing a safety net for Snoop and for so many others!

Kabar has a new home with a lovely couple. I dropped him off last week and was so delighted with them and their property. He will have tons of room to run and play. He will have one other female dog has his companion, as well as a variety of other animals. I am thankful to the new owners and know he is in the best place. Many thanks to Rescue Me! Linda
