Saw this website, and got this good looking Siberian Husky. I had great contact with owner through text. She was very emotional letting her dog go, but that shows she loves him. Rescue Me has many options and all different breeds. I'm sad about all of those that are about to be euthanized. I do recommend this site and will adopt another pet rather than buying from a pet shop.

This was my first time adopting out a pet. No sooner did I post Holly's profile, there was an immediate outpouring of loving families willing to make her part of their family. She was fortunate to find a forever home and is very happy. A BIG THANK YOU to Rescue Me and all of the devoted folks for helping our precious fur babies!

I adopted DeeDee last week. Rosy at Wetzel County Animal Shelter was great to work with. DeeDee fits in great with my other two rescued beagles. Thank you, Rescue Me.

It took Panda about a month to completely rehabilitate. When I first started fostering him, he was covered in so many ticks, had matted hair and was a little unsure of things. I took him in and gave him all the love and nurture he needed. He was bound to be adopted by a loving person! He was still taking some time to become adopted, so I found Rescue Me and posted his adorable picture here! Within less than 24 hours, Panda had multiple adopters interested! How could you not with that permanent wink and fluffy coat of fur!! I finally found the perfect couple to adopt Panda. We met up at Petsmart and she instantly fell in love. He now has a big backyard and a house full of people to love and care for him! He's the only pup in the household, so he's getting extra loving! It was definitely sad, being that Panda was my first foster and I had gotten a little attached, but nothing feels better than saving this dude's life and finding him a family that will love and spoil him for the rest of his doggy years!! He was the best first foster dog a person could have! Thank you, Rescue Me, for helping me help find pandas furr-ever home!

I am very happy with this site. It was very user friendly. I had five people respond to my post, and the very first folks who responded ended up being the perfect fit for our dog. I was helping a friend out who has some health issues so could no longer keep the dog. The couple who adopted her have another dog that will be a perfect companion for our dog, and they offer a loving, stable home. I am thrilled and the owner is sad to have to give up his dog, but very relieved to have her in a perfect home. Thank you, Rescue Me!

Thank you Rescue Me! Charlie has found a new home a short drive from me so I can visit. His new owner is a perfect fit for him. In less than 24 hours, he had many inquiries which I would have never found if not for Rescue Me. This is a fabulous service for pet owners and their precious pets alike.

My adoption of 'Bandit' was much easier than I imagined it would be. My and Bandits savior, Nicole, posted him on Rescue Me. I got the alert the evening that Bandit was up for adoption because they had no where without dogs and kids. Bandit's owner died. The daughter drove him to their home, but the family was not able to blend him in. I contacted his adopted parents and said Ill drive across the state to rescue Bandit. I met his folks halfway across the state and it was an immediate success. He shows us his affection and he's happy as a clam. He whimpered once when Nicole and her husband left, but that was it. He was genuinely appreciated all the attention. Bandit's separation anxiety has not been evident. Now the weird side. My Shih Tzu died in Febuary; his name was Bandit same as my rescued furbaby. His Dad's name was Larry; he died a few weeks ago, My name is Larry I found Bandit the night the alert came up. Nicole the adopted Mom was very happy for Bandit. I caught up on my bills and was kind of broke till payday. I had enough to rescue this great little dog. He is very mannered and rather quiet, but he is playing. His forever home is here. I'm sure Nicole's Dad, Larry would approve. A true success story for this little dog!

I rescued Molly, a lab/boxer mix through Rescue Me, and she is a love. From day one, she made herself right at home, she is very gentle and loving and likes to follow my three cats around the house. I believe she knows how fortunate she is that I found her. She has lots of adults and children that love and play with her in her life now. I strongly believe in adopting a rescue pet, so good luck to all future adopters.

I posted Shorty last weekend and had two calls on her. She wasn't necessarily what you call 'adoptable' because she is nine years old; however, someone saw the post and drove over an hour and a half to come get her! She's had four Schnauzers, so I knew Shorty would have a good home! It only took a week to find her a permanent home. Thank you, Rescue Me.

This is Julez. His story began a few years earlier when he had a brother named Moo. They lived outside in a not so good home with sporadic food and poor shelter. Moo was the bait dog and Julez was the fighter. It could never be proven, so despite several attempts to have them removed, this is where they stayed. At one point , Moo's wounds were so bad that he was finally removed and found love in a good home. That was to be short lived, because within a few years he had to say goodbye due to heart worm. His tail kept thumping until the very end. Julez was not so lucky. He still spent the next three years chained outside. He finally caught a break when his owner surrendered him. My son and his wife, who had taken in Moo, also took in Julez. But Julez was not Moo. Moo loved everything. Julez hated cats, so he couldn't stay inside. He was walked every evening and got attention, but we all know that is no life for a dog. It all came to a head when they had to sell their house and had no place to go other than to rent. Renting + pit bull = disaster. So Julez needed a home. The shelter was not an option. So began the race against time. Begging others to share on Facebook, contacting rescues, most who would not even answer. I have found in the world of rescue, there are so many who are so jaded and full of drama, due to the endless stories of desertion and abuse. But keep in mind there are some out there who desperately need help because they have no other option. So I posted on Rescue Me. It was my last hope. There was one amazing response... A man and his wife. They saw Julez picture and fell in love with him! References checked and home check done, and 'adopted'. He has PTSD and was recommended by his doctor to get a companion animal, and she can't have children, so she says he will be treated like her baby. She also just lost her dad, and depression was creeping in. They saved Julez and he returned the favor. Julez is now an inside only dog sleeping with his owners on a king size bed. Thank you, Rescue Me!

This was my second post on Rescue Me!!! I love this site! Thank you so much.. I have a rescue here, Spay It Forward!! There are so many abandoned dogs, full breed and mixed along the border here. It makes me so happy to move them away from here. I am a true believer in this site. You will get an adoption form from me when you inquire about the dogs we rescue. Then we will do background checks as needed. Thank you Rescue Me! I will soon post another Golden Retriever and a Bassett hound!

These two are amazing! They are everything we could ask for in two, adorable doggies. We traveled 1400 miles to pick them up and drive them to their new forever home, and they were perfect gentleman. They have been home for a day and a half and it's as if they'd been here all their lives. Happy, fun as heck, love their walks and new yard and new house. We love them so much and they love us too. Dual snoring is so cute! OMG, this pair is the missing puzzle piece for sure. Thank you for making it possible, Rescue Me.

My dog was on Rescue Me without a photo for almost a week with no real response. Two days after posting a photo, he was adopted by a young family who immediately took him to the groomer and contacted his vet. I am very happy for him and his new family. I was not able to give him the care he needed and deserved.

We found a good match for Rascal. They live near, so Mom can visit him. He is an only dog and that was the kind of home we were looking for. The lady that called had been looking for a dog like Rascal and they really hit it off well. We will be checking on him to make sure it works out. I think it was a perfect fit. Thanks to all that helped. Now we just need to find a home for the cats. Rescue Me is a cool site. Keep up the great work.

Brownie was abandoned, and all efforts to find his former home resulted in nothing. He was found wandering around aimlessly, limping and sad. He was taken in by a family that could not provide a forever home for him. After posting his story here, a lovely, woman older woman who wanted a pet adopted him. She took him to the vet and found that he is seven or eight years old and is in relatively good health. Brownie is now in his FURever home and a happy dog. Thank you, Rescue Me.

I do not know 'who' rescued 'who'? The vet guessed her to be approximately six months old, seven pounds, and an ultra mini Schnauzer/Yorkie mix. Two sets of canines. Better to nip us with! She walked in our house ready to rule the roost! She went up and growled, pushed her body against her new friend, and tried to pick a fight with our Chihuahua. NOT! The Chihuahua won! After almost a month all get along! She got shots and started on heartworm prevention and fleas medicine. She would rather go out to potty. She is definitely a two year old! Drags all the toys out. Brings me her bowl when it's empty. We crate her at night so the house will be intact in the morning. We almost named her George. She is curious about everything. Great little watch dog. Ears up. She is ready to beat up on any Pit Bull! And the bark is bigger than she is! Surprise yesterday when I offered her a treat she sat proudly on her haunches, paws in front and begged! Who taught her that? Not me! I do know why she got to be a lost dog. When she is out, we have to watch her all the time. She is great at sneaking off! Little Houdini! So that's when she gets her leash, which she will tolerate but hates. Thank you so much for finding her home with us, Rescue Me. She continues to surprise and give us joy. BLESS.

Rescue me sent an alert within two hours of Vera's post. The owner and I chatted immediately and she loved the idea of Vera comings to live with me and my senior Pekes. I promised her owner that I would send lots of pictures of her and keep her updated. It was not an easy decision for her previous owner, but she travels with her job and it was the best for Vera who is a very young 14 year old. Vera fits in great with my family. Thank you, Rescue Me. It's a great site for people to find each other whether they are re-homing or adopting a new family member.

We loved Rex like no other dog! However, he was too much for our neighborhood and was too loyal to the family. He let no one near me. It broke my heart to have to find him a new home. Five different trainers and three vets said the only thing to do was to put him down. I just couldn't do it! He was such a lover in our family/pack.      Rescue Me helped us fill the void in our lives after losing our last Rottie to cancer. We found 'Bear' on Rescue Me and he couldn't be better! The contact person answered our email in a timely manner. We communicated back and forth several times to make sure that we were the right fit for 'Bear' and that he was the right fit for us. When we went to pick him up, we spent more than an hour with him - letting us all get to know each other. It was, and continues to be a WONDERFUL experience. We will look to Rescue Me when we are ready to adopt a companion Rottweiler. Thank You!

Little Chrissy was adopted last week. The home initially was to be a temporary foster home, as they already have two other rescues and were unsure how it would work out. This loving, young couple absolutely fell in love with Chrissy instantly, and so did both of their rescues, who are MUCH bigger dogs. Everyone loves her and they send me pictures and updates daily. Chrissy is receiving the love and care she so well deserves, and last I heard she was outside galloping around with the gang in their fenced in, large property. Initially she was a little cautious, but she has bonded with the two gentle giants already living there. They are very protective and adoring of her. All three doggies have spaces on the couch and the last picture I received she was snuggling with Blue (a very large hound dog/mix). Chrissy has trouble getting up onto the couch, but she takes running starts and usually pulls herself up by herself. The other dogs step in and nudge her when she slips and also stand by her when she sleeps in her brand new bed. This story had a happy ending and Chrissy is smiling in every picture I see! Thank you, Rescue Me!

I was so very happy to find my new babe on Rescue Me. I had two mini Schnauzers who had been raised together since eight weeks old. This summer, we lost our sweet Bella to pancreatitus. Both Willi (my male Schnauzer) and I were heartbroken. He had never been alone in his life. I immediately began searching for a companion for him. I came across the Rescue Me website and found Bandit. He was rescued from a Walmart parking lot. He is a treasure for both myself and Willi. Thank you for sponsoring this site Mr. Gold. I could immediately contact the foster mom who listed him on your site and found that we lived only a few miles apart. Bandit is a very happy boy.

Rescue Me is a wonderful site. My son and daughter-in-law brought this pretty little dachshund home about three weeks ago. They were moving out and couldn't take her. I became her foster parent, but am not ready to have a dog right now. She became potty trained very easily and had a wonderful disposition from the start. The six people that adopted Olivia 'Sweet P' had to drive three hours to get here, but they were very determined to get her. Sweet P did not want to leave me, but I am sure she'll bond very quickly to her new family. They did give me money, and I have already donated it to your wonderful service. Thanks so much! -Mary On behalf of Sweet P

We had been searching for a home for GiGi for months! She had been abandoned at our boarding facility two years ago and had already been returned once before due to a change in circumstance for the adopter. She was a sweet girl that was so well behaved, it was completely frustrating that she was not being adopted! We had her on Petfinder and tried to post her as much as possible, but it was looking doubtful for poor GIGI. Then after only a week on Rescue Me, she got three people who wanted her, all within three days time! It was so amazing to see that sweetheart get so excited to be leaving the kennel! It was my mission to get her adopted, and after so much heart ache to see her have three potential homes. It was so relieving!

We had Anakin since he was eight weeks old and loved him instantly. Sadly, our work schedules changed so that he was in the crate/kennel for nine hours/day instead of a max of three. It was heartbreaking, but we decided that he deserved a new family that would love him like we do but give him the attention and exercise his breed needs. We posted his picture with a quick summary of the situation. Within one hour, I was receiving calls to adopt him. I spoke with a man named Matt who had just lost his eight year old Siberian Husky the week before. I just knew he was the perfect fit. He and his girlfriend Nicole drove two hours to meet little six months Anakin, and they knew he was right for them. We gave them all his supplies and some last minute love before handing him off to his new forever family. With heavy hearts, we drove away but are in contact with the family on Facebook and through texting so we can get updates. Rescue Me was the best service and more trustworthy when it came to finding a new forever home for our little buddy.      I would like to thank you so much for allowing me to post my dog on your site, and in turn helping me to find the perfect family for her. She is now in a home with a family that will love and care for her and provide for her a wonderful, full and happy life. I now have peace of mind. I would highly recommend this site to all those looking to place their pets and also those looking to adopt. Thanks again, Rescue Me!

Ella was adopted Monday. Thanks to Rescue Me, we found (or they found us) the perfect home for her. The couple who adopted her drove across country to pick her up because they didn't want her shipped. They have a nine year old Lakeland and felt like they just 'needed' another. Thanks again, Jerry

I put my dog, Bronx, up for adoption. It was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. With Rescue Me, I was able to find Bronx a forever home with the perfect home in less than a week. Through the website, I was able to meet the family and let Bronx meet their dogs and see the surroundings. Thank you Rescue Me for taking an uncomfortable situation and giving it a fairy tale ending!

I am very happy and grateful that Rescue Me exists. Peach is a sweet Corgi who my son and daughter-in-law bought while they were still in college. In the fall of 2014 my son brought her to me and asked if I would keep her for a time. I already had four dogs and he thought she would just be 'one of the pack,' until he was able to reclaim her. Several jobs and a relocation later, it became apparent that he would not be taking her back. She was raised as an only dog and seemed rather depressed in my multi-dog household. She also caused excessive agitation among my Belgian Tervuren. Peach has found her forever home now. She is the companion of a wonderful woman and her daughter. They have one 14 year old female Corgi, that Peach is getting along well with. They have horses like I do, and Peach is great going to the barn. I am very appreciative of the many wonderful people who were interested in giving Peach a new home. There were many heartbreaking stories from people who have lost an aged Corgi and hope to have another to fill the void. I hope all of you find a special dog soon to fill that empty spot. Blessings on all this great dog community. Yolanda

We couldn't be happier that she found the most perfect home! We feel so blessed to have Rescue Me as our personal friend, advocate and life saving organization by our side. Heidi was rescued by our group as we pull dogs that are on the kill list. She's found a loving and lasting home. Thank you Rescue Me! -My Best Buddy Rescue Helena

He goes to work on a horse ranch with his new mom. He has a furry new dog sister and regal cat brother who keeps them all in line. His new dad spoils him rotten. Thank you, Rescue Me!

Shelby has a wonderful new home. She was adopted by a woman who has a 250 acre working ranch with cattle, goats, chickens, ducks, geese, dogs, and cats. Her primary job will be herding the goats once she 'learns the ropes'. Our role in Shelby's journey was ultimately to remove her from a suburban shelter and 'foster' her. She was surrendered by her original owners at 11 months old. Over a two and a half week period, she was adopted twice. The first time was one day, the second time was 12 days! She was physically full grown but still a puppy. She was a 'chewer' and needed constant supervision or crating. This was most likely the reason she was originally surrendered and returned twice. We don't know what her fate would have been if the adopt/return cycle continued. Great progress was made during our stewardship of Shelby. She was in obedience training and was progressing well in the adult classes. She had not become an 'honest' dog yet as she would not come when I called her so this meant she was always on a lead or restrained in some way. And unfortunately, our five year old cat (another shelter rescue) could not resolve their incompatibility (she's a runner so would never stand her ground and smack Shelby on the nose). We are so happy that Shelby now has a great home where she will have the job she was bred to do - herding livestock instead of toys. One of her Border Collie companions is about 12 and a good herder but getting tired. The other Border Collie is two, but does not have the herding instinct. We could tell that she will have a great time in her new home. And her new caretaker is an active supporter of the local no-kill shelter.

I have been rescuing puppies from the Island of Aruba for the past 15 years. In Aruba, they do not spay and neuter their dogs. The island is overpopulated with stray dogs that are starving in the streets. Many owned dogs have puppies that are unwanted. Many unwanted puppies and dogs are brought to a place call 'the Kill Cages' where they leave their puppies, dogs, kittens in a hot room with no water or food. There is no human supervision at this place and the next morning a man comes and kills the animals. Some are not even dead yet when they throw them in the back of a pickup truck and throw them in the dump. So, I save as many pups as I can. I take them to the vet in Aruba, have their blood and stool tests, then antibiotics, vaccinations and dewormed. Then, if healthy, get them health certificates and bring them back to the States for another vet visit, fostering, and eventual adoption to good forever homes. I also assisted this past month with a major spay/neuter program, there called Operation Cunucu where we spayed and neutered 338 dogs. Additionally, I help raise funds for a local shelter and spay/neuter clinic and help a cat rescue program. This is the first time I used Rescue Me to try to find homes for these gentle pups, and it was quite successful in finding a lovely family to adopt this precious pup. Although I do this on my own, I do an adoption application, a meet and greet with the pups then a home visit to make sure the home is a good one. Any chance you can add Aruba Cunucu to the breed of dogs on your list? It is hard to figure where these pups belong in terms of breed. They are mixed breed descended from the Iberian Hound and Portuguese Pendango that were brought by explorers in the 1600s and Arowak Indian dogs that were native to the island. Thank you for your efforts in helping all these animals to find forever homes.

Boudan the last of my babies got to meet his fantastic new mom and dad today. He even has a sweet new sister to keep him company with a home that only God could have arranged. I had prayed about him and just couldn't have been more pleased after meeting them. While we were talking a lady wanted a puppy like Boudan, and I was pleased to tell her about the awesome Rescue Me website. Thanks much for all your help in finding a wonderful home for him.

We were heartbroken to have to re-home our beloved dog, Bella. We wanted to make sure we found the perfect home for her, and I was amazed at how many genuine inquiries we received through Rescue Me. We ultimately placed her in a home that has experience training labs, loves to take dogs camping and other active adventures--exactly what this pup deserves.
