Arya get along wel with most dogs but not all. Unfortunately she is aggressive with our 11 year old dog and has snapped at our young sons (age 3 and 5). She has never snapped at adults or our older kids (age 10 and 13). But with a blended family, we can't have a dog who snaps.

Boxer Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Fearful/Anxious

I have a wonderful loving boxer pit mix dog that desperately needs a new home. She is such a sweet, happy dog with a fun personality. I need to rehome her asap because she doesnt get along with my small dogs. She has been getting more aggressive with small dogs, so a home with no dogs or with a big dog that matches her age and energy level would be best. Ive had her since 8 weeks, so shes had a happy healthy home he whole life. Shes healthy, spayed, up to date on all vaccines, heartworm and flea/tick treatments. She does have a cleft lip, but there are no special needs associated with it, she just has a funny smile! Although she is shy with ... (Read More)new people, she is loving and playful once she gets to know you. She has never been aggressive with any adults or kids. She likes to run, play ball, and play with toys. She is not destructive with household items. She is crate and potty trained. My heart breaks to no longer have her in my life, but its not good to have her fighting with my small dogs, or be kept separate all the time. She deserves to be loved and given more attention than I can give now. I absolutely cant keep any longer, and I have tried local rescues and they are all full. If anyone is interested in her, I would love to find her a good loving family. Please call me with any questions or if you would like to meet her. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 18-06-21-00340Henry (male)

Bichon Frise Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Henry is the sweetest, most affectionate, happy little guy you will ever meet. He is always smiling and cheerful, and loves to sit in your lap or alongside you in a chair. His one challenge is that he is a compulsive marker, but does well with a belly band. I estimate he is probably 11-12 years old but you'd never know it; he has the spirit of a much younger dog. He, along with his chihuahua 'sister', Frannie, has come into my possession from a friend who could not care for them. Unfortunately, I have another dog in the house who has not taken to having Henry and Frannie in residence, and so I have to keep them all apart and it's wearing ... (Read More)me out. I need to find an awesome, loving home doe Henry and Frannie, either seperately or together. (Less)

Compass was born on Columbus day, 9 Oct 17. His mother is Journey who came to rescue as a pregnant stray. He was adopted as a sweet baby and returned to rescue due to 'moving'. PLEASE consider the next 15 years when you consider adopting! We know his forever home will be found but all dogs deserve that from the get go. From Compass, I am just a Mutt. A Mongrel. A Mixed breed. You can call me whatever you want. The truth is, I am just a puppy and I will grow up to be whatever this world affords me to be. I pray that is a part of a family. I've already had a tough life. My mom was found astray in North Dakota of all places heavily pregnant ... (Read More)with winter on the horizon. Thankfully a wonderful person brought her to For Belle's Sake Rescue where I was born. They have taken pretty good care of me here but the truth is'|I want my own family. Have you ever had to share everything with 6 brothers and sisters? My rescue mom calls me a clown. I like to run as fast as I can and often run right into the sensors for the garage door. Whoever put those there is at fault. Anyway, she gets really mad when she can't close the garage door after I run zoomies. I know I probably don't stand much of a chance at a family. I am a brindle mixed breed. There's hundreds out there looking for homes, just like me. I am not special. My rescue mom at least looks into my eyes and says 'this one might be lucky, he doesn't blend in'. Whatever that means. So'|what do I think makes me different aside from the obvious coloring of my coat? Let me tell you. I will be yours. I will love you unconditionally. I will be your best friend. I will grow with you, make you laugh, make you love. I will even make you frown, maybe pull your hair out, and get frustrated sometimes. But that's ok. Because we will be together and together we will grow wiser. I will teach you patience, and you will teach me manners. I will show you what it is like to be loved unconditionally'|because you deserve that. On your worst day, I will love you. On your best day, I will love you the same. When you come home, I will act like I haven't seen you in a year, even if you were just in the bathroom for 5 minutes. Doors should be destroyed. Because you will mean that much to me. You will be my everything. I hope that I will be yours and that the same devotion will be given to me. Sure, I am a young pup now and hella cute, but my life is a mere 15 years. I hope you will give me those 15 years. I hope I will mean the same to you in 10 years as the day I was adopted. I hope that when these cute fuzzy puppy hairs turn to grey, I am still yours. Because in my heart, you will still be mine. My rescue family has done a pretty good job with exposing me to life. I have met goats, chickens and ducks (no comment), cats, lots of other dogs, and children too! They are doing their best to socialize me at a young age so that I can join your family and you can continue to help me grow and be well adjusted. My rescue mom says 'this is a vital time in my development'. Whatever that means. But by all means, do not expect me to be perfect. I will need training. I like to jump up to say hello and am a 'busy boy'. And where the nose goes I goes. I am uncoordinated. But I am smart. And I am eager to please. I look great in a bowtie! I want to be your sidekick. I want to be your pride and joy. I want to be your best friend. Will you be mine? From my rescue mom: These sweet pups all need and deserve long term, loving homes. If you fit the bill, please read the adoption requirements and complete the adoption application located at A DNA test (not highly accurate) was done on one puppy. Keep in mind, a female can mate with several males meaning there could be different fathers for each pup so we tested a black and white one'|because, well, there are 5 of them. The mother is estimated to be a schnauzer, collie, staffie mix. The father of the one is estimated as a lab, boxer, staffie. They are truly Mutts of the best kind. Adult sizes cannot be estimated and breeds cannot be guaranteed. A puppy is a 15+ year (God willing) commitment. If interested in providing that to a pup in need, we cannot wait to hear from you. We do our best to expose all of the pups in our care to daily life but they are not guaranteed housetrained (ever tried to housetrain 30 dogs'|we haven't either. I am still trying to get my 4 sons to hit the mark ;). If a yard is present, a secure fence is required. A leash at all times when not in a fenced area and absolutely no tie-outs. The adoption fee for all dogs at For Belle's Sake Rescue is $175. We do not breed discriminate or base adoption fees on our medical expenses provided to their care. One dog may cost several thousand to save while another a few hundred. Eit (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 18-05-17-00173Lola (female)

Bulldog Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Spayed, Needs Vaccinations

Lola is an 8 yr English Bulldog/Boxer looking for a new family to love. She absolutely loves children! I would suggest a home with older children as she doesn't know her own size sometimes and can knock little ones over. She loves laying in the sun, walks, playing tug-of-war and swimming in the lake. She is very submissive to people but very dominant and at times aggressive with other animals. She should certainly be the only animal in the home. She's getting a bit older, so her hips tend to bother her occasionally, but otherwise she's as active and loving as a young dog.

PIease Read Before Adopting a Mutt in North Dakota
Mutt Dogs can make good pets in North Dakota if they match your IifestyIe. Mutts are some of the most loveable of all the types of dogs one can adopt. What distinguishes a mutt is that they are not born from any single breed, but rather, are a mix of two or more breeds. While a mutt might not be able to be shown at an AKC show, they tend to be healthier, more secure and live longer than most purebred dogs.
