Skyler is one beefy boy, one of the bigger cockers we have seen come thru the rescue. We are totally guessing that he has Clumber in him, he looks like he may and is a bit bigger than your typical cocker spaniel. Skyler was bought for a boy 4 years ago as a puppy but then the boy went off to college and I suppose Skyler was no longer needed!!?? I am fearful because of the over crowding at most humane societies that she would not be accepted with the intent of me getting her back. Please let me know if you can help me in any way. I have been keeping her in my truck while I am working and on very hot days like the last few I have been running the AC. My previous owners brought me to the shelter because they were moving and couldn't take me with, but thankfully my friends from Fetching Tails were there that day and I got to go home to a loving foster family instead of going inside the big, scary shelter. Good thing, too: since I am young, I don't know much about the world yet and I think I would have been very worried in a shelter environment. But I am having the BEST time in my foster home and it is giving me some good ideas about what I would like my forever home to be like. I would love to have a canine friend or two in my forever home; I have canine companions of various sizes in my foster home and I have SO much fun playing with them and learning how to be a dog from them. Sheena is a 15-year-old, very frail and thin, female black and white shepherd-mix looking for a loving guardian as a hospice situation. This senior lady was dropped off at Chicago Animal Control with a younger Dachshund sibling. They were separated when a rescue took the Dachshund but not the senior shepherd.
