Hello - I am Legend! I recently arrived with the Irish clan to OPH and surein I brought the luck of the Irish with me! I could tell you about any number of other Irish legends - Leprechauns, Faeries, St. Patrick, Shamrock - but none would be more interesting than meself! I'm a young, wee lass, just one year old and 16 lbs, and have beautiful blue Irish eyes that are always smiling! I'm thought to be a Feist mix (and maybe Terrier) but really that just means I'm a dog who LOVES to run and chase so dontcha be thinking I'm going to be a couch potato! I want to play with other dogs and run around in the yard and would love a family who gets off their bum and enjoys a good stretch of the legs every day. At my foster home, I've had nary an accident and do well on a schedule. I'm a headstrong lass and pull a might bit on the leash so I will need to be shown the proper way to walk when tethered. I snuggle with my foster dad and play with his dog and we all have a jolly good time. I'm spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations and monthly preventatives. Wontcha apply to adopt me today! I WILL BE AT THE ADOPTION EVENT AT THE PETVALU IN GAMBRILLS ON SUNDAY, MARCH 18TH. STOP BY TO SAY TOP O' THE MORN! (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 18-02-17-00152Bug (female)|
Needing a loving home. She is great with adults and loves to cuddle and be loved on. As our toddler gets older Bug has not been responding well to her active/rough energy. Now we are expecting baby #2 and transitioning out of the military. Bug has a very high prey drive and as such does not play well with other dogs/ pets. She needs a yard and lots of walks or hikes and one on one attention which she has not been getting. If you have a squirrel infestation she will GLADLY take care of it for you! She's extremely smart. Learns tricks incredibly fast, and a great cuddler. Is high energy and needs someone with the space to let it out. She truly is an incredibly smart and loving dog, she just needs a different environment with no kids or other dogs right now. (Less)

Mutt Dogs can make good pets in D.C. if they match your IifestyIe. Mutts are some of the most loveable of all the types of dogs one can adopt. What distinguishes a mutt is that they are not born from any single breed, but rather, are a mix of two or more breeds. While a mutt might not be able to be shown at an AKC show, they tend to be healthier, more secure and live longer than most purebred dogs.
