Rescue Me ID: 17-07-25-00387Butch & Sundance (male)

Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Vaccinations Current

Circumstances, specifically travel, have created a situation where I really need to put two (2) male, almost 4-year old, %BE Australian Cattle Dog (Blue Heeler)/ %BC Border Collie mix dogs up for adoption. They are full brothers from the same litter and are named 'Butch' and 'Sundance'. Sundance has been neutered. Butch, who is unbelievably mellow, has not. The reason I acquired two brothers from the same litter was so that if I didn't have time to play with them, they could entertain each other. And they do! Unfortunately I just can't take care of them if I'm traveling for extended periods of time. The two dogs are virtually ... (Read More)identical in appearance except that Sundance has a prominent white blaze on his forehead while Butch's blaze is very muted, almost just a thin white line. Because they are brothers and have always been together, it would be nice if they could be kept together if at all possible. They are definitely not any trouble (low maintenance) for someone, if kept together. They are outside dogs for the most part and thrive outside unless it gets exceptionally cold. My problem is I will just not be home for longer periods and I can't take care of feeding and watering them. They do have to be separated when feeding them because Butch tends to 'vacuum' his food up while Sundance tends to sniff the aroma and savor the taste. So when Butch comes around for the food left in Sundance's bowl'|you get a bit of growling and snapping over 'who's bowl this is'. They are both in excellent physical condition weighing about 37 lbs each with absolutely no health problems. Both are energetic and love to play (or work). They are both very friendly and you have to be stern with them to control their enthusiasm. But a cross look, and a firm 'No', is enough for them to understand they need to 'tone it down'. They just want to play and they play enthusiastically. They wouldn't work for a family with babies or toddlers because they can get a bit rambunctious. But if you have teenagers or pre-teen kids who want to go out and play catch with these dogs, the kids will get bored and tired a lot sooner than these dogs. If you have kids over 10 who want to get involved in agility and other kinds of performance dog shows, these two are athletic herding 'nuts'. I have no idea how they will react to other dogs. They have always been by themselves on a small ranch in New Mexico, and then in my backyard in Colorado. They are not destructive and haven't dug up any plants or anything in the garden. They do chase squirrels and cats, and both have decided to stay out of my yard. If you are going to take them out for a walk, I suggest you keep them leashed until you get a feel for their behavior with other dogs and to keep them from taking off after a squirrel'|or probably a rabbit, or anything else that looks like it needs to be herded. I've actually seen them attempt to herd a tumbleweed on the ranch back in New Mexico so if you need 'working herding dogs', these two are instinctive herders and both parents (sire - full blooded Blue Heeler; dam - %BD Blue Heeler %BD Border Collie) were used to work cattle in northern New Mexico. Rescue Me ID: 17-07-25-00155Rigby (male)

Australian Cattle Dog Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

It got scarily close to Rigby's euthanasia time in a dismal Texas shelter. It was definitely through no fault of his own..it's all a matter of space. He came in at a very crowded time (but then again..all times are very crowded) and was therefore given a very short window in which to be rescued. After a scramble by our very compassionate Texas rescuer (she has a soft spot for a really cute fuzzy guy with a great temperament!), Rigby was pulled out of the shelter at the last second possible. His rescuer and shelter workers haven't stopped raving about this adorable and engaging guy ever since. Rigby, at 18 months old and 35 lbs is the ... (Read More)perfect size to take along just about anywhere. He is such a perfect candidate to find his forever home in Colorado - he's a natural-born hiker with the energy and enthusiasm to accompany his favorite person on any path. We envision Rigby with a very active family that can provide space for this very smart herding dog...maybe a ranch or an involved guardian who wants a loyal companion to run the trails with or have fun on rides or hikes in the open spaces. Rigby would be a very family-oriented pup if given the chance...adventures, hiking vacations or just hanging out at home after some fun exercise would speak to the nature of this guy. A fun time would be exploring dog-friendly spots or socializing with playful canines and their dog-loving families. At the end of the day...there would be nothing better for Rigby than to snuggle down with his family of humans and canines..he is unknown with cats. Rigby can be counted on to be a truly positive addition to any home that will provide training, exercise and mental stimulation for this very smart dog. He is a very loyal guy whose joy at being part of a committed family would know no bounds. Rigby would shine in positive reinforcement group obedience classes since his desire to please is so strong...and it would create that special bond that exists between a trained, respectful dog and his people (Farfel's is happy to provide a list of approved trainers in your area). After passing his temperament tests and vetting with flying colors, Rigby is with his foster in Denver being reminded of some basic house skills. His rescuer has described him as a love bug that deserves the gift of training to make make him the best dog he's capable of being....can we possibly say more? Rigby is in need of a sudsy bath and a great brushing'|. he will emerge with an amazing coat that will highlight the gorgeous merle and markings that speak of his breed. Rigby will require a periodic bath and great nutrition to keep his lovely coat healthy and cottony-soft. Rigby is up to date on his vetting, but has yet to be neutered. We're hoping that he will be fixed when he arrives from Texas, however most often a dog's euthanasia date arrives before their neuter date. If this is the case, Farfel's will cover all costs for Rigby to be neutered and micro chipped at our vet in Denver to be in line with our commitment to be a part of the solution to pet overpopulation. Rigby will be arriving on transport in Boulder on Saturday 7/15/17. Applications are currently being accepted and can be found at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/. If you're interested in this extremely sweet, cuddly and fun-loving guy, please fill out and return to farfelsapps@gmail.com, fax to 303-443-7730 or mail a hard copy to Farfel's Farm 906 Pearl Street Boulder, CO 80302. Rescue Me ID: 17-07-25-00102Elvis (male)

Dachshund Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

The Dachshund/Cairn mix is a perfect combo for those with who are searching for an extremely smart and loyal family dog. Of utmost importance...they're famous for their great temperaments and snuggly ways. Elvis is a great representative of his breeds..he's a very loving and extremely sweet guy who is very gentle with family members and other family pets. Being a happy-go-lucky and energetic pup, Elvis requires a certain amount of exercise...therefore if a hike or a leisurely walk is the order of the day - count him in! Elvis would be so filled with joy to hike the trails and over the streams in the Colorado mountains...and then crash ... (Read More)on the couch (or a loving lap) snuggling close to his favorite humans and canines. Elvis is an absolutely adorable and engaging puppy who favors the scruffy coat and fun, silly personality of the Cairn while taking on the very engaging qualities that make Dachshunds one of the most popular breeds available today. Elvis appears to be a non-shedding or very lightly shedding pup (although it's difficult to tell for certain until his sad shelter coat grows out). He will therefore require a commitment to periodic baths/brushing and great nutrition to keep his coat healthy, so shiny and matt-free. As Elvis loses the old hair of his shelter days, his coat will grow in with that wonderful feel and look of a truly healthy coat and will be far less likely to shed. Elvis's sweet nature is just waiting to be enjoyed and appreciated...he makes playmates everywhere he goes. Once he's comfortable, Elvis is a social and comical puppy.. and that means everyone he meets ultimately may become a friend. You know when a loved one approaches, Elvis's tail starts the greeting and it wiggles up through his entire body ending in a smile. And if your lap is available, up Elvis goes to cuddle and snuggle and let you know the level of his devotion. Elvis is such a wonderful little being...we think he represents the best qualities of his breeds. At just about 5 - 6 months old (such a great age..old enough to be leaving puppyish ways behind and young enough to be a blank slate..absorbing new ideas and learning the skills to be a great adult dog that can accompany his family everywhere a sweet, socialized dog is welcome. Elvis currently weighs 12 lbs with an anticipated full-grown weight of about 16 - 18 lbs. Elvis seems to be leaving behind the neglect and lack of love that made up his early life. He is becoming a fuzzy ball of good-will that loves to please - the happier his family is with his behavior, the more he shines with his accomplishments. We would like to see Elvis in a home that includes him in family time and activities...he's learning social skills and would thrive in a family that truly loves him and considers him a very important family member. Elvis would be a wonderful companion for retirees who have the time and desire to be best friends with a truly adorable puppy. They could teach him about the world..and he would be the most bonded guy around. Elvis would also do well with a younger family who would want to include a sweet fuzzy guy in their activities. We feel that Elvis is too sensitive to be left alone while his family works full-time outside the home. He would thrive on more time together. Elvis doesn't require another dog to be happy...but does enjoy his canine relationships with kind and gentle dogs. Elvis will be arriving in Denver unfixed due to too many dogs and not enough vets in this very poor area of New Mexico. Farfel's is happy to cover all costs for Elvis's neuter and microchip if our Denver vet is used. Elvis will be arriving on transport in Denver on Saturday 7/29/17. If interested in this very sweet guy who is full of love and personality, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com or fax to 303-443-7730. Schnauzer Mix    Age: Young Adult

Health: Vaccinations Current

Gordon has been in a rural kill shelter in Texas. He can be a little dominant with other dogs at the shelter, but he also isn't neutered and may not want to share his kennel with a strange dog. If you'd be interested in fostering Gordon he can be transported to Colorado and will be neutered and fully vetted. There is the option of adopting as well.

The owners of the mom and the dad were going to drop them off at a shelter at only 6 weeks old if we didn't take them. It has now been 3 weeks, and they are finally ready for adoption. They have been in a wonderful foster home who has been socializing them a ton. They do great with her young kiddos and love her dogs. They are social and happy puppies. Both Boston Terrier and Border Collies have a good ... Rescue Me ID: 17-07-25-00009Banjo (male)

Dachshund Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Whenever a Dachshund or Terrier mix gets into an urgent situation, Farfel's rescuers like to help. We find that dogs of these breeds and breed mixes are loving, super- smart and wonderful best friends. They tend to fit well into a family setting and make excellent companions for virtually every activity. When Farfel's got word that Banjo was in need of rescue and had passed his temperament testing with flying colors, we immediately stepped up. Banjo was immediately brought to a foster home to be loved, reminded of house skills and nurtured with soft words and lots of positive reinforcement that he's a very important puppy. Banjo is ... (Read More)just 6 months old...such a great age - old enough to be able to understand and implement adult skills and young enough to be a blank slate just waiting for guidance to be a great companion out in the world. Banjo currently weighs 11 lbs with an anticipated full-grown weight of approximately 18 - 22 lbs... a perfect weight to accompany his family just about anywhere a small, well-behaved guy is welcome. At the end of the day, Banjo is the greatest and most loving lap dog and couch companion around. Banjo is a great student and just waiting for a forever family to teach him the wonders of his world. If he is trained with positive reinforcement group training classes (Farfel's is happy to provide a list of force-free trainers in your area), and given lots of kind attention, socialization with both humans and other dogs...he will turn into a self-confident guy who will be a wonderful companion. Banjo has all the elements working in his favor since he's starting out with a great temperament and a puppy-like desire to please. Farfel's would like to place Banjo in a home with either active retirees or a very involved family with older and very gentle kids who are motivated to provide Banjo with physical exercise and mental stimulation. With love and consistency, Banjo will also be comfortable with being alone and know that his family will always return. He'll learn this with consistent behavioral guidelines and kind boundaries present in his life. Banjo will be arriving in Denver unfixed due to too many dogs and not enough vets in this very poor area of New Mexico. Farfel's is happy to cover all costs for Banjo's neuter and microchip if our Denver vet is used. Banjo will be arriving on transport in Denver on Saturday 7/29/17. Applications are currently being accepted for this sweet and devoted best friend and can be found at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/. If interested, please fill out and return to farfelsapps@gmail.com or fax to 303-443-7711. (Less)

Hi! My name is Siggy! I'm a seven week old puppy looking for my forever home! My current parents have been great and give me so much love, but unfortunately my siblings and I were unexpected and they can't keep us. Will you be my new family? I'm super playful and very smart! I love to explore my surroundings, and I've already started to go potty outside! I am very trainable and would love to find a family to take me in and show me all the possible love!!! I would be good in a house with kids and other dogs, but I've never met a cat, so I don't know about them! P.S. My brother, Clyde, is also available for adoption!! Maybe you want us both?

Hiya! I'm Harley Quinn, but I'm not naughty, I earned my name because I'm equally goofy, strong, and smart! I'm just looking for some serious love. I am 5 months old, LOVE people and other dogs, and I think I could be friends with kitties, even tho' they scare me a teeny tiny bit. I don't chase them, I just need to get used to them! I am super playful and have tons of energy so I would love to live with a family with another playful dog, or even just active parents who will play with me as often as they possibly can! I am doing great with potty training, but of course, still working on it since I'm so young. I am eager to please and not too ... (Read More)stubborn, and I don't mean to brag, but I'm REALLY smart. My foster mom can't stop kissing my face, and I'm really ok with that. I like to kiss her face too! I like to kiss everyone, actually. With a tongue like mine, how can I not!? I could play all day with my foster brother, and they thought HE had lots lot energy! I'm showing him the ropes on how to be young again. I'm a big goof, which makes me quick to love! Because I'm so rambunctious my rescuers aren't placing me in a home with small kiddos! I love them so much but have knocked them over. My foster mom is probably gonna be pretty sad when I go, but I told her not to worry, because I know I'm just gonna have the best life when I find my forever home! Rescue Me ID: 17-07-21-00130Max (male)

Shih Tzu Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Max could be that dream come true pup for retirees who enjoy spending their time with a scruffy and adorable guy who is very loving and engaging (once comfortable). There's no question that he would also do well with gentle, dog-loving older kids who enjoy the fun and snuggles that a sweet little dog brings to a family. We want to make certain that Max is handled kindly and respectfully...he'll return that loving treatment a thousand times over with snuggles and sweetness. Max does like playing and is entertaining in his silly antics, young energy and the huge love he wants to show to everyone he knows once he is comfortable in his ... (Read More)situation. Max's story is all too common in his extremely close call to being euthanized in a scary Texas shelter....but who could ignore his cuteness, adorable manner and desire to bond with anyone who could be his best friend? Max is initially a bit shy..but give him a moment (a belly rub and yummy treats are helpful) and he inches just a bit closer to a welcoming lap. Before you know it he's gently loving you with a soft kiss. The awesome Texas rescuers recognized all of this and knew that there was a home out there that would love, respect and make this little guy a permanent member of their family. At about 12 - 18 months old and 15 lb, Max is a perfect size for walks ,hiking and outdoor fun..and then at the end of the day would enjoy nothing more than a warm lap or a spot on the couch next to his favorite person. Max would do well with anyone who's invested in spending time with their pup. We are searching for a family where home is a favorite place.. or they'd like to take along a cute fuzzy guy wherever a sweet little dog is welcome. Max would be the most committed and loving best friend..and would be overjoyed with the opportunity to come along and be part of the fun. He's so pleasant and portable that he can be a part of any adventure....it can be a visit with friends, a car ride, a vacation or just an afternoon spending time together plopped down on the couch. All of this would speak to Max's sweet temperament. We aren't open to a home where the family members spend their days working full-time outside of the home....we'd like Max to get more time and attention than is possible with that lifestyle. Max is a non-shedding guy with the beautiful..and cottony-soft white and brindle colored hair that represents his breed mix. Max will require a commitment to periodic grooming and great nutrition (a salmon oil supplement is excellent). With this care, Max's coat will be so soft and shine with good health. Max has been fully vaccinated.. but hasn't received some of the vet care that is needed due to a lack of funds in this little Texas town. Max has cherry eyes which is a protrusion of the third eyelid commonly seen in dogs under the age of two. It's very fixable and has no long-term affects of any kind. Farfel's is happy to cover all costs for Max's cherry eye repair as well as his neuter/microchip if our Denver vet is used. Max will be arriving on transport in Boulder on Saturday 7/29/17. Applications and inquiries are currently being accepted for this very loving and loyal best friend. An adoption application can be found at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/. Adorably affectionate, he loves cuddling with his foster mom almost as much as ear scratches and belly rubs. He also loves squeaky toys, cool hardwood floors, and having his head out the window on car rides, but his true passion is bones. Offer Marco a bone and he's pure pup putty in your hands!     Hi there! I really hope you're looking for your new best friend, because that's what I'm looking for too! I just want to find my forever family, and fast! I was rescued from an overcrowed Texas shelter but have been in Colorado for a while now. I have a clean bill of health and am happier than I've ever been! I'm good with other dogs and love my foster brother, we play really well together. I've been told I'm a pro snuggle bug and I'll take it. Nothing better than cuddling up on the couch after an evening stroll, yano? I will be a great hiking and adventure partner who can keep the tent warm on cold Colorado nights!     Hey guys! I'm Gypsy! I'm a sweet southern bell all the way from Texas! I have a heart of gold, love people and other doggies (the most!), and will be the bestest, most loyalest companion you ever did see! Y'know, typical Labrador stuff. The rescue with all the Sunshines thinks I'm about 4 months old, and I think that sounds right but I'm not great at telling time yet.     Chiavis Chihuahua Mix Female 1 year 7 lbs. Have you ever been just so dang excited, or maybe kinda nervous, that you piddle, just a little? Isn't it just so embarrassing!? I Googled it and it's really no big deal though; I read that I should outgrow it before much longer. It's kinda funny too because it never happens to me because of loud noises, like when the vacuum is running or when a loud truck rumbles by. It only seems to happen when someone moves too fast towards me. But, if they say 'hello' nice and patient like, well then, no piddle! And man, once I know for sure that the someone is nice, my shyness is gone in a flash and I become ... (Read More)one confident, calm and uber friendly cuddle bug! I think it is because of my small stature. Everything is bigger than me! But being smallish defintely has some advantages: I can fly thru any doggie door, I like my crate because it is nice and spacious, and I can fit in any lap! A little more about me: I like friendly dogs, I like nice kids and I don't even mind cats. I love walking, I really love snuggling and I have a super happy dance that I will do every time you come home! So, about that home of yours'|.Can't you just see me in it? It's pretty easy to make it happen. Just fill out this dog application https://pawsco.org/adoptions/adoption-application and then email it to my PawsCo pals at adopt@pawscoadoptions.org.     You will love Shadow when you meet him! He is a very sweet and loving dog and seems to like everybody he meets. Shadow is house trained and learned how to use our doggie door right away. He sleeps in a crate at night, which we do for all of our fosters. Sometimes he starts out not especially crazy about being in the crate, but he settles down quickly and sleeps through the night without a peep. Shadow has a good appetite and loves his treats. He is almost done with his doxycycline and is showing no more ... (Read More)URI symptoms. His fur looks really good! He loves taking walks, although he needs some work on walking on a leash. I'm not sure he has ever had an opportunity to be taken on a leash in his past. Here are some photos of him looking adorable. Please let me know if you need additional information. Yorkie Mix    Age: Puppy

Whenever a sweet and engaging Terrier mix gets into an urgent situation, Farfel's rescuers like to help. We find that dogs of this breed mix are loving, smart and make great family companions. They fit so well into a household and make excellent companions for all age groups as well as other dogs. Alice is one of these cuddly and very sweet Terriers. The Texas vets believe Alice to be a Yorkie (based on body structure and personality..she's a playful and very silly/entertaining girl) mixed with a cottony-soft Maltese diva. Alice is so puppyish in her enthusiasm for all people that are kind to her. As you can see in her photo, Alice has a ... (Read More)smile that stretches ear to ear..and a love of life that knows no bounds. Wherever this joyful baby goes, she brings her positive attitude and fun-loving (occasionally mischievous) energy along with her. Sometimes rescue dogs are initially a bit shy....but put them into a home with a loving family that provides frequent socialization, nurturing, love and belly rubs.. and they will shine. Alice is one of these pups...she's a blank slate that's just waiting for the commitment of a great family. Her love will know no bounds as she becomes a best friend and the greatest lap dog ever. Alice is such a great age and size... at 7 - 9 months old (a perfect age - young enough to be open to new and wonderful possibilities in her life yet old enough to have left most babyish behaviors behind) and weighs 10 lbs (perfect size to accompany her people anywhere a sweet and very social pup is welcome). Alice has a beautiful, non-shedding (or perhaps lightly shedding) coat...this is hard to tell for certain until her sad shelter hair grows into a well-cared for coat. Alice will require a commitment to periodic grooming and great nutrition to keep her scruffy, cottony-soft coat healthy and matt-free. We were unable to get an appointment for Alice's spay/microchip in New Mexico. Farfel's is happy to cover all vet costs for this procedure if our Denver vet is used. Alice is in a foster home in the Denver area. Applications are currently being accepted for this very loving and silly lap dog and best friend. Apps can be found at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/. If interested, please fill out and return to farfelsapps@gmail.com or fax to 303-443-7730. (Less)

Rockie, Lab/Border Collie mix, 5 yrs, 80 lbs, housebroken. Rockie is a loving and energetic people dog. He loves to play fetch and swimming is his favorite. He does good with other dogs, but loves to be independent and on his own as well. He knows the basic commands and doses great outside. Rescue Me ID: 17-07-15-00016Scarlet-PENDING! (female)

Cairn Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

When Scarlet's rescuer walked down the aisle of the dismal Texas shelter, she was shocked to see the adorable (and extremely dirty and matted) Scarlet tucked tightly into a cage...her time was up. Farfel's immediately got a call describing how incredibly cute and sweet this Terrier is..and the need to save her life. We agreed and Scarlet became a very treasured Farfel's dog. She earned a ticket to a wonderful new life in Colorado with her great personality and kind and positive attitude toward the world. At about 12 - 18 months old and 11 lbs, this very beautiful pup is a blank slate waiting for positive input and guidance to be the best ... (Read More)dog she's capable of being. We'd love to match Scarlet to a family that will spend lots of time with this very portable girl. She's a perfect size to accompany her family just about anywhere...and would love it. Positive reinforcement group obedience classes will not only provide socialization and great skills...but will cement the relationship between Scarlet and her family. Scarlet gets lots of attention when she's out and about...she's very engaging (while a bit shy at first) and as sweet as can be. She's also extremely eye-catching...Scarlet appears to be a Cairn Terrier/Scottish Terrier (Scottie) mix..but we would never swear to it. When Scarlet turns that gentle look in your direction, you can't help but smile at her sweetness. You can see just a bit of a sign that this young pup has had difficult times. But not for her to be negative..a smile and a wag..followed by a jump into her favorite person's lap is more Scarlet's style. Farfel's Rescue is searching for an adult family or one with older, dog-crazy kids 12+ for Scarlet. It''s not that she doesn't like young kids...we just feel that Scarlet wouldn't be comfortable with any tail-pulling or awkward carrying. A retired couple or individual would be perfect for this girl. She would thrive on the time and attention that retirees often put into their pets. Scarlet, once bonded, will be a loyal and very loving companion....that makes her very easy to spend time with just enjoying the wonders of life in Colorado. Scarlet would also enjoy time with dogs of similar size who can be gentle playmates. When you're only 11 lbs, even a very well-adjusted dog can be intimidated by larger, rambunctious pooches. . Scarlet has a beautiful black coat that requires some care. A commitment to bathing/brushing and great nutrition will result in a beautiful coat that will be shiny and cottony-soft with very little shedding. Scarlet is arriving on transport in Boulder on Friday 7/21/17. Applications are currently being accepted for this very loving girl and can be found at thahttp://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/. If you're interested in this sweet and cuddly best friend, please fill out and return to farfelsapps@gmail.com or mail a hard copy to Farfel's Farm 906 Pearl Street Boulder, CO 80302. (Less)

She likes to stick her head out during car rides, she does well in the car, likes to go to the dog park. She will be a great addition to her new family, she has lots of love to give. American Staffordshire Terrier Mix    Age: Young Adult

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

If you have any questions about fostering or adopting Kryptonite please contact 4 Paws 4 Life Rescue and Boarding directly at and adopt@4p4l.org. Kryptonite is a fun-loving dog. He has a joyful disposition, a can-do spirit, and shows all of the signs of a naturally intelligent pitbull. In short: Who's a good boy? Kryptonite is a good boy! He has been very gentle in his interactions with our 1 yr old daughter. He is generally curious about our 4 cats and tries to play with them, regardless of their thoughts on the matter. He has gotten along with our 8 yr old dog, who is very particular who she plays with, in the short time he has lived with ... (Read More)our family. He is curious, energetic, and playful, yet enjoys curling up on laps and happily taking naps. For exercise, he enjoys walks, playing fetch and tug of war, but all he ultimately wants to do is be around humans.Though he is house broken, it appears that he has been given little instruction or training. He is learning to sit, drop items from his mouth, and the like. Kryptonite has shown very little separation anxiety when being left alone. He would do best with a family that provides him with training, routine and structure. We feel that with training, he could probably pass the 'Good Canine' test and become a therapy dog or just an awesome family pet.Basically, he will reciprocate any effort put into him.
